NFL Network's got a doozy tonight with the Saints & Falcons. Much better than the junk matchups they had before NBC Sports had a turkey of a Thanksgiving finale with Patriots/Jets a week ago.

I'm sure Mac is thrilled that Phil Simms will be on his TV Sunday for Steelers/Ravens in the 3:25P time slot Sunday...NOT!

The Sunday night game will be a snoozer, but Monday night should be a doozy.

Especially because the Eagles have...wait for it...rolled over & played dead during their 7-game losing streak. Besides, QB Mike Vick hasn't been cleared from his concussion and it's been 2 weeks he's missed.

Seriously, the entire NFC east is in primetime?

Fuck the NFL and their love that division. The Giants are the only team worthwhile this year in the NFC east.

Bears fans should not ever complain about prime time games. They hit the limit pretty much every year too.

There are about 10 teams in the NFL that people actually care about. The NFC East contains 4 of them.

Yeah, he's the most exciting guy in the NFL. I have no problem at all with that MNF matchup. It's gonna be fun to watch. But the NFL/NBC or whoever does suck for not flexing out Dal/Phi in favor of TB/Denver.

This has nothing to do with the Bears. I prefer them to play at noon or 3:15 on Sunday anyway, but thats not the point.

This is about 3 of the 4 primetime games in the past 2 weeks including NFC east teams, and all 3 of these games have been (or likely will be) total garbage with little to no playoff implications.

So being over .500 makes a team worthwhile? Got it. Bengals, Seahawks, Steelers, and Vikings all qualify. Imagine the ratings blockbuster a Bengals/Seahawks matchup would be!

I would much rather watch any combination of those teams than Philly/Dallas. It's not even close actually.

Not necessarily in order: Giants, Eagles, Cowboys, Redskins obviously. Bears and Packers. Patriots, Steelers, 49ers.

It's very rare that one of those teams isn't involved in a Sunday Night game, and they end up on Monday Night all the time too.

I'm not sure about the last. It's probably between the Jets, Chargers(I don't know why but they get on prime time all the time) and the Saints.

There are now three primetime games virtually EVERY week in the NFL. You're going to have some repeats.

Actually it's 4 out of 4 primetime games that feature NFC East teams two weeks in a row. GB/NY, Philly/Carolina, Philly/Dallas, NY/Washington. And the GB/NY game definitely had playoff implications.

Those games are scheduled before the season starts, and it's not always easy to flex in another game that is more interesting.

I don't agree about the Ravens. They always seem to play the Steelers in prime time. I don't think they are considered the draw that other teams are.

The Saints get there because they've been good the past few years, but no one cared before Brees got there.

And week 13 primetime is?

Face it. The NFC East is garbage this year. Your team is garbage, RGIII is not but the team overall is. The Eagles, Cowboys, and Giants are on primetime almost every week. Don't really have an issue with the MNF matchup this week. Last MOnday was garbage. This Sunday is set to be garbage. Altough I loved to see GB getting the shit kicked out of them, last Sunday was garbage.

You know they played on Thanksgiving, right?

Its not groundbreaking. Yes there are going to be some repeats. This week there is a better game to be played on Sunday nite than the NFC matchup that NBC will air. I'm not even thinking about the THursday games in this because I rarely watch them without the Bears playing. So just Sun and Mon nite, tons of NFC East trash being aired. Dog games.

Sorry, you said "past" two weeks. Didn't realize your past included the three days ahead of us. I'll adjust accordingly. And, yes, I know they played on Thanksgiving. I was at the game. I didn't consider that because Dallas is in that slot annually. I'm not defending the NFC East as a good division. Them being featured in primetime happens every year. Of course last Monday sucked, but don't tell me, going into this season, that you would have said Vick and the Eagles vs. Cam and the Panthers would be "Garbage." Arguably two of the most exciting players in the NFL. Cam happens to suck now, and Vick is toast. Networks can't predict how these teams will look seven months after the schedule is made, since MNF cannot be flexed.

That's kinda the point though. When teams suck, nobody gives a shit about them. Nobody has cares about the Redskins pretty much since I've been watching football. They have been an afterthought. The Ravens have been a bigger draw the past 15 years, and they've faced plenty of other teams besides the Steelers in prime time.

Nobody cared about the Patriots really before Brady became a star. Everybody was groaning when they made the SB against the Rams in 2001. More than almost any other sport, people care about good teams in the NFL. That's the draw.
