I'm friends with Bills nephew. That is apropos of nothing.

Totally believable. He didn't even change Grudens line calls

Bill Romanowski interviews on Silvy/Waddle are always a good listen.

Why the fuck would any coach throw a Super Bowl?

Tim Brown seems to still be pissed that he caught one pass in his only SB appearance....he sure did drop a bunch, though.

So he hated Al Davis so much he lost the Super Bowl on purpose? He may have just been a bad coach.

Really wished Silvy would have pushed Romo for more info on Barrett Robbins' family situation at the Super Bowl. He said "put 2 and 2 together" like he was spelling it out. Silvy wimped out.

Bill Callahan will be calling plays for the Cowboys next year according to Jerry Jones.

Tim Brown also said that he never thought Trestman would be an NFL coach. Tim Brown blames Trestman for ending his streak of 1000 yard receiving years.

Ya' I'm a little disappointed to find out his evidence is "didn't run the ball enough"

Because its confirmed that the Raiders were using the exact playbook Gruden used with the same cadences. In the NFL films piece on the gameJohn Lynch is shown frantically telling the rest of the D "Its the same exact plays from practice! Exactly!!"

So when I heard this allegation I thought there might be something to it

He's a two face

See him every couple months. One time he'd be a long haired stoner talking about what tour he's heading to, next time short haired preppy look talking of joining army. Several times back and forth.

He didn't go to the Super Bowl where he could have been on sideline because he hates flying

Trestman was the Raider OC. Blame Trestman.

The year he "missed" his 1000 yard mark he ended the season with 950 yards, give or take. Looks like Ole' Tim wasn't working hard for those YAC.

He was also older, on a team that threw the ball all over the place, had Jerry Rice, Charlie Garner and Jerry Porter, as well.

Tim Brown is looking like a little bitch with this.

First time in history that wide receivers are complaining about throwing the ball too much.

Always been a fan of Brown, but I agree he is looking like a bitch. Sounds like he needs someone to blame because he could not peform as well as he once did.

There's a two week break between conference championship and Super Bowl. Dude couldn't drive there?

I find it extremely hard to believe that a coach would throw a Super Bowl. I also find it hard to believe that if that really happened no one said anything about it until now, years later.

If you met him for 10 seconds you'd understand

Didn't go to one game in all years Bill coached Raiders and Nebraska

Not some distant uncle either, they were close. Like see each other once a week for local family stuff type

Hard to disagree. Any pro athlete or coach probably dreamed his entire life for the chance, and then when you get there, you purposely lose?

Seems like Silvy/Waddle's interview with TB re: Trestman was the genesis of all this "sabotage" talk, although Brown and Jon Ritchie have been talking about it for years to some extent.

Romo was supporting Callahan and pretty much dumping on Brown. Silvy/Waddle asked him about TB's comments last week re: Rice being the #1 receiver ahead of Brown. Romo said Brown couldn't run a 5.0 40 yd. dash at that point in his career and questioned his practice routine/work ethic. Romo said he could cover Brown. As for Rice supporting the "sabotage" talk, he basically called Rice an idiot - "have you ever heard him speak? - and went on to say Robbins had a family issue before the Super Bowl. Silvy kind of pressed him for more - Romo asked rhetorically something like "you know what happens during Super Bowl week?" to which Silvy tried to fill in the blanks about family being there and Romo made his "put 2 and 2 together" comment.

Tim Brown was a guest on "The Dan Patrick Show" this morning, and he tried to set the record straight in his claims...
