It won't pop. It is the last line of defense for cable companies. It will only get bigger. It's going to be much harder to create a netflix for live events especially when there is no real benefit for the companies who own the live events to do it.

I don't think so. Some properties are more valuable than others.

Obviously true, but they all have limitations. It just so happens that in San Diego a baseball operator was able to oversell his property.

I don't know that much about what happened in San Diego besides difficulty in getting a deal but sports are still the most valuable asset possible for cable companies and it's only going to get worse as Amazon and Netflix continue to erode the reasons people need cable at all.

I believe that caused Time Warner to raise the price for their basic package so high that many people didn't want to pay it. It's the Padres, not the Yankees.

I think there will be an All sports type package in the next 5 years that wipes out cable.

I would rather pay extra for NHL Gamecenter to include the Blackhawks than pay for basic cable.

When the Cubs television deal comes up I think we'll see that it is still business as usual.
