It's not like this is the Browns... This was an annual playoff team only a handful of seasons ago. |

It's shocking that fans of the most popular sport would need to be plied with alcohol in order to watch it. |

Football is the sport. I'm guessing college football is their cup of tea. |

I don't like pumpkin beer, and I'm not stupid enough to be drinking on company time. Thanks for your concern, though. |

Jacksonville's stadium is way overbuilt for the size of the market because they need to have enough seating for everyone to descend upon the Florida-Georgia game. Even with a lot of sections tarped off, it's too big. Meanwhile, Chicago has one of the smallest stadiums in the league. DAAA Bears! Honestly, I wish they'd give up the ghost on Jacksonville. It's a small city wedged in between a bunch of bigger sports fiefdoms, kind of like a southern Hartford. The only reason they got an expansion team was because the other candidates were Baltimore and St. Louis, and the owners didn't want to give away the sweetest relocation plums. Look who got teams after Jacksonville was announced. The best outcome for the league footprint would be for the Rams to go back to Los Angeles and the Jaguars to replace them in St. Louis. That reinstates the old L.A. Rams and gives you a more sensible NFC West, plus a tidy AFC South of Indianapolis, Houston, Nashville, and St. Louis. The only problem is that this sure has a lot of moving parts to it considering that St. Louis is just as fucked as an NFL market as Jacksonville. |
