Relatively speaking, this is a cash poor team. It matters when it comes to Signing bonuses, such as QB's looking for $40M upfront on signing day. I only mention all this as it points the likely hood of a franchise tag on Jay more likely, thus actually saving some cash for signing other players this year on the D side, helping us get to AZ. |

I understand where you are coming from with the cash poor angle but this franchise is worth over a billion dollars, generates profits yearly and the owner only paid about $5,000 for the team. They have money to operate if they want it. It's like an old lady owning a home in Lincoln Park without any mortgage and complaining about gentrification raising property taxes. |
