lotsa openings now, he already interviewed in Houston.

Washington and Detroit have offense, no discipline, Lovie brings the discipline.

Tampa is the obvious one, I think.

I'm not sure if he gets a job. Houston would be a perfect scenario for him but I don't think he is at the top of their list. He was more of the minority interview.

Houston would be the best bet. I hate to say "instant credibility" but wouldn't that team want someone who has coached before and had a modicum of success rather than some newcomer?

I dont want him anywhere near Detroit. He would fix them very quickly.

Go to Houston

Go to anywhere but Detroit. Not too worried about him with Minnesota either, but the Lions have a DL that is perfect for his system.

Eggggzactly

Lovie can make a bad Defense passable in quick order.

And he'll reign in Stafford

There is talk of him going to Tampa along with his former GM.

Not sure about that. Best case scenario probably is he doesn't make their offense worse.

Detroit would be crazy not to hire Lovie before the lunch hour is over.

"His" offense is so bland though. I think it would be improvement by virtue of that.

I think Lovie learned his lesson on having a solid OC.

He'll have a lot more luck getting a quality OC on a new contract going with Detroit's offensive weapons.

Yes, my son was reading something from either Schefter or Jay from Fox's twitter account.

Seriously that's an OC's dream (other than being in Detroit)

Lovie isnt the best at hires, as we have seen.

Lotsa Paranoia in his thoughts. He hired his friends that would never take his job and got rid of those that might take it.

He knows a really good OC, would be a threat to him right away.

Sounds like Cutler 2.0. Worked well for Lovie before.

He's a wilder version of Jay Cutler. They're practically the same guy.

Shouldn't Detroit lose him like the Bears should lose Cutler?

I believe they are. I would instantly hate him if he coached the Lions. The AFC is a better place for him. Honestly I don't believe he will get hired as an NFL head coach.

Right. He's just talented enough to get a coach fired.

Great comparison. I'm not sure if you can work with either of them. You just take the good with the bad. Even though I believe Cutler and Martz was starting to work before he got injured in San Diego.

I disagree with your assessment.

Also Stafford has had 3 full years and was GREAT in one of them.

Cutler doesnt have a 97.2 RTG with 41 TD's to highlight

I cant believe you're all OUT on Stafford. Pretty early to do that to a guy.

He has better numbers than Cutler did when the Bears traded 2 first round picks for him

Cutler doesn't have Megatron either.

He's had Marshall for most of his career. Not Megatron, but not bad either.

But Im not arguing Stafford is great. I just think its too early to tell. I dont think a bad QB throws 41 TD's and has a 97.2 season rtg. Even with Megatron

I don't really like looking up stat splits, mostly because Im lazy, but don't Stafford's numbers sans Megatron indicate he is a pretty below average QB?

How do you take out Johnson's numbers? He's played in like every game Stafford has been in.
