Maybe it comes off more positively if you play "Sweet Georgia Brown" while watching that ... sort of a Meadowlark Lemon tribute.

Who's better: The 120 million dollar man or McCown in the Bears offense?

We could make quite a few Jay Cutler gifs. Like maybe the one where he throws it right at a 300 lb lineman.

Lovie Smith. Personell guru. Mike Glennon made good progress last year and should be the Bucs QB.

Scorehead, the Buccaneers still think Mike Glennon is the QB of the future. There's no way Josh McCown comes close to what he put up here down there in Tampa statistically.

Bears win today if McCown were the qb here.

No they don't. What Josh McCown did a year ago...He doesn't now.

B&B love to downgrade McCown whenever they get the chance, mocking his performance last year as lucky and saying he won't have the same success without Marshall, Jeffrey et al (which is likely and obvious). But while they think that McCown's inevitable failure will somehow prove Cutler's superiority, the fact is that Cutler would likely suffer just as much if HE were playing for Tampa.

If McNown sucks, and he does, then it is an even bigger condemnation of Cutler. Anyone who likes Cutler should be rooting for McNown to be a pro bowler.

McCown has been awful so far. They win yesterday if he was just bad.

His offensive line did him no favors. He had two nice drives in the 4th quarter to make it close but Tampa's D couldn't get another stop.

Is this really a shock?

The funny part is that no one was even a fan of Josh McCown. Everyone merely said that if Josh McCown could be so successful in the Bears offense (and clearly better than Cutler), then anyone could be successful in the offense. His "fans" (myself included) were actually using his lack of ability as an argument against Cutler.

He also was in the process of leading a game winning drive when his receiver let him down.

Hypothetical Josh McNown won that game.

1. His first game of a new system designed by a 1st time NFL o-coordinator
2. Except his offensive coordinator had to leave the team because of a surgical procedure.
3. He was playing against an elite defense

My faith hasn't wavered.

Josh McCown will lead the Bucs to the Super Bowl.

So Bears fans give Cutler 5 years to figure it out and don't give Josh McCown 2 games?
