Will play Sunday. Apparently whipping your 4 year old son like a slave isn't enough to keep you off the field if you're a star. What will Roger do?

Go home and punch Jane Skinner in the face out of frustration.

Vikings should trade him to Dallas for DeMarco Murray and a 2nd Rd pick.

As for the League- NFL= Never Fucking Learn.

Where is the outrage over what AP did? Reading the texts that he sent his Sons Mom after the beating made me angry & sick.
He beats this kid for fun like its a hobby. I hope he breaks his own fucking neck Sunday.

He is not going to play on Sunday.
Public pressure, plus more stories will get out - are already getting out.

Great post. Where's the uproar from everyone who bled their pads when Ray Rice knocked out his fiancee? A grown fucking woman, who could 1. try to defend herself, 2. get out of that situation, get's hit & it's a hellstorm. A little kid, who can't really defend himself in any way, get's the shit beaten out of him & it's "..."

I think many people are struggling with it because they were also spanked as a kid. The pictures should change that but somehow it isn't.

I'm not into what AP did and does, but there's some gray area here that I think explains the different reactions. Personally that AP made this into a science of some sort with stuff akin to instruments and labs and so forth decreases the gray area between, say irregular spankings, and straight up abuse, but nevertheless that sliver of gray area is enough to provide cover to his supporters.

Now the money is starting to pull out of the Vikings:

Radisson takes this matter very seriously particularly in light of our long-standing commitment to the protection of children. We are closely following the situation and effective immediately, Radisson is suspending its limited sponsorship of the Minnesota Vikings while we evaluate the facts and circumstances.

Disagree on that. I know a few who didn't think it was a big deal then saw the pictures and knew they were wrong. Gross stuff.

A spanking is a lot different than getting beat with a stick.

Carter was going HAM all morning.

I can never take my eyes off the circus that is the ESPN NFL guys tackling serious issues. Carter seemed legitimately passionate though

The fact that he said 'my mom was wrong' has to make you think so. I don't like him at all, and didn't when he played, but he certainly does not seem to be grandstanding in this instance.

It's also pretty despicable that he is playing the "hitting kids is good parenting" card when he doesn't even know how many kids he actually has. You aren't a good parent at all Adrian.

You can tell he's smart because whenever he hit them the first thing he did was tell the mother via text and talk about how guilty he felt.

I agree a spanking is a lot different than being whipped. Some people don't even after seeing the pictures.

Why wouldn't he have a hot Nordic au pair to take care of all the difficulties of child rearing? Bring the kids out all washed and nicely dressed for photo ops and holidays.

Honestly though, the guy has a whoobin room. He didn't use that room only once.

This is like the Rice thing. You know what happened. The only question is whether or not you are comfortable with it.

But its not on video like the Rice incident. And AP is a better fantasy performer than Rice, so of course more people want him to play.

Hell, Ray Lewis (probably) killed a guy or watched a guy get killed and he got his number retired and will be going into the HOF soon.

It is really unfathomable that Peterson hasn't been suspended. All the talk about spanking and parents' rights to discipline their kids is a distraction. No one is saying he wasn't allowed to spank. But what more do the (NFL) authorities need to see to determine this was child abuse? Waterboarding? Peterson admitted doing it, so there's no need for the legal system to "play out." This is nothing but greed on behalf of the Vikings and NFL. Sickening.

The inconsistency is what is so laughable to me. I don't look to the NFL to be my moral beacon, but if Rice is out indefinitely, then how can you allow AP to keep playing? "Due process" is a scapegoat (though I'm generally a fan of it). The NFL doesn't care about due process... they suspended Rice for longer because a video got leaked that made it "look" worse, but the facts hadn't changed at that point. The communication between the franchises and the league seems to be horrendous as well.

Whole story turns my stomach. Have a 4 year old now, couldn't imagine anyone doing that without being a sadistic SOB. Spank your kid, fine be an asshole. Whip them with a branch in your whippin room get hit by a fuckin bus.

Saw the photos, I think that sick fucker whipped the boy 28 times. 28 AP All-day baby!

You don't need a video when you have photos that were taken a week after the whipping. Can you imagine how the kid looked immediately after it happened? There was probably blood everywhere.

The mom should be investigated too. She didn't report what happened. If it wasn't because of a doctors appointment no one would have known.

After the latest accusations it's safe to say AP likes to attack 4 year old boys. He gave this son a permanent mark on his head.
