He gets 45M guarenteed, 21.5M up front, $3.5 in 2016, $3.5 in 2017, and $16.5M 2018. because of that 2018 money they pretty much have to keep him until 2018 (year 4).... so it comes out to 4 year for $77M per PFT http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/20 ... tannehill/ The seahawks just shit themselves |

Bad deal but actually looks downright reasonable in comparison to other recent bad quarterback deals. Not close to Cutler bad IMO, particularly since there's still a chance Tannehill continues to improve. I saw one comment on this that being an average to decent QB in the NFL today is like being a guy who could score 20 ppg in the NBA a few years ago. Similarly ridiculous contracts being thrown around in both cases. |

Solid deal for Tannehill. Somehow he hasn't melted down given the shit show down there. No running game, no o-line, Mike Wallace, Ocho Cinco, Joe Philbin etc. Good for him. |
