I am not talking about this being his final year, I am talking about coming close to his final games? he looked terrible v Baltimore. He pulled out all his tricks and managed a great game, but he cant throw the balls more than 30 yards now and I assume KC watched the tape of Balt playing up on every Denver WR in the 2nd half.

Maybe he defies all odds and squeezes out some good games, but I assume if he takes some hits (which I know he doesnt do much) and a few more games, he might be done rightr before our eyes.

Close, but Manning looked like a 100 meter sprinter compared to Namath as a Ram. Sad thing about that , its all I knew of Namath, I remember seeing him and he couldnt move and he sucked. I couldnt figure it out, everyone talked about how great the guy was.

Broncos still working Brock Osweiller I think as the primary backup. dont know if he got better, but he didnt look so good when he got time.

How about Montana as a Chief?

Montana as a Chief was fine compared to Namath. It was really bad. I recall watching a MNF game of him there against Bears. Terrible. I may have it wrong. Might also have been Buffone's last game?

Not as compared to Namath you weird bastard, as compared to Manning in Denver this year.

He sure looked like a rag armed over the hill QB against the Ravens. He cant throw the deep ball anymore & his passes just didnt have any zip on them. This could be the beginning of the end for Goober.

Montana was decent for a time with the Chiefs. They did make an AFC Championship game where I believe they lost to the Bills.

But getting back to Manning does he really want a second title that bad? I guess it would give his career more post-season validation in that it puts him in the multiple title bracket. I don't think the amount of titles as a quarterback of a team is any true indication of that player's football ability. I heard some story about how he can't feel anything in some of the fingers of his right hand. And his neck was fucked up bad just a few years ago. Seriously, dude, why risk it? He's already an all-time great. This guy could make serious bank as an analyst or even get his own sit-com. Yeah I know you aren't Brady or Montana but you're not Marino either.

Namath had no knees. If athletes of that era had arthroscopic surgery, compared to the butchery they faced, a lot of careers would have been very different.

Namath had the fastest release of anyone. The only modern day player that compared was Marino.

Before he goes I would like to see him get a devastating blow to his blind side by a blitzing safety.

I watched a lot of that game and felt like the real issue was his O-line. He was under a lot more pressure than usual. He doesn't do well when he is rushed.

Have to see how he plays against teams that don't typically have a good D.

He still has numbness from his previous injuries. It's amazing he was as good as he was after Indianapolis.

We might see him dismembered on live TV tonight.

Chief's front 4 can put pressure on him alone, that's bad enough, but add some scheme blitzes and such and he may die. Dead. Done. Bye-Bye.

Any team with a decent secondary will eat him up.

Yes.

He had Marcus Allen on his last legs, too...but a stout Schottenheimer defense.

Looking back, Montana was good enough to not lose more than he won...and he missed 5 games in 93/2 games in 94.

Manning looks lost out there...Denver is going to go 8-8 this year...maybe.

He might have lost a lot of his game, but my god this Denver O-Line has GOT to be one of the worst in the NFL.
He's scrambling for his life on almost every pass, and CJ can't even get 2 free steps on a run play.

He's never going to last 16 more weeks, bad line..he goes down before a d lineman touches him ..he's playing scared.

KC just had a pick 6 and almost intercepted the next pass he threw. No zip on the ball.

Every team is just going to jam the receivers and make Manning beat them which he can't do anymore. Going to be an inglorious exit for him.

Donzo. Finished. I have Goober on 2 fantasy teams and I'm going to try to unload him.

Manning just now put together a TD drive--Broncos first since 2010--by throwing in "rhythm" to receivers in "space".

Why is any passing record unattainable? The NFL becomes more pass-friendly over time; the records fall more readily.
