This franchise has been run by idiots for my entire lifetime. How do they not get rid of Caldwell too?

He should have been fired after taking his foot off the gas in the playoff game against Dallas. The team quit on him in the Arizona game, and the Kansas City game. How he keeps his job after all of this, and his childish rant towards the media yesterday is inexcusable.

The Lions are the most inept organization in sports.

What a pathetic franchise this truly is.

Negativity has always been here from you all's standpoint. From the media, that's always been part of it. That's the first thing I think you notice here. I think I call it the dungeon of doom when I walk into that room sometimes. That hasn't changed.

hey, they can snatch up Ken Whisenhunt [6-44 in his last 50 NFL games] if they act now.

Caldwell keeps his job for another two months because you may as well let the new President pick his own GM who will pick his own coach. This season's lost, you may as well make Caldwell come in and look at the shit storm every day so you can avoid the dead cat bounce and finish 2-14.

Zero of the last sixteen Lions' head coaches ever got another NFL head coaching job.

Lions' fans loved to hate him, but he is the most successful coach in my lifetime.

Jim Caldwell should make it 17.

Wasn't Mornhinweg an interim coach for a few games somewhere?

And Jauron coached the Bills too. But yeah, still a sad state of affairs

Mornhinweg was the head coach in 2001 and 2002. Jauron was the interim coach for the last eleven games in 2005, after Mariucci was launched.

Uncle Dick's tenure in Buffalo sure was a quiet one. I think they finished 7-9 every year. Maybe one year they finished 9-7 or 6-10.
