(CBS) Former Chicago Bears receiver Joseph Anderson posted a photo of himself on his Instagram page holding a cardboard sign outside the Houston Texans practice facility.

The sign says “Not homeless but starving for success” and “Will Run Routes 4 Food.” He says in his post that he has been standing outside the facility every day with his sign.

Anderson appeared in nine games for the Bears in the 2012 and 2013 seasons but didn’t record a catch. He hasn’t appeared in an NFL game since.

I was at a Rosemont kids fest about 20 years ago. I turned around and saw Wendell Davis with his wife and kids just sitting in the crowd. I said to my wife that guy was on the Bears. So of course she gets up,says hello and has my 2 kids take a pic with him. He was a real nice guy.

Sorry, got caught up in the excitement. The pickings are astoundingly slim at the WR position. Alshon will be all time top 8 the end of this year.
