Post subject:  Burfict gets 3 games
Suspended for three games. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/14550 ... violations

Seems right but no punishment can repair the damage he did to his own team. As a fan I wouldn't forgive him or Jones. I'd want them both gone, no matter how talented they are.

What about the bastard who fumbled? He holds onto the ball and Burfict is the hero of the bleeping game.

That would have been a legendary comeback that he lead. He was all over the field.

I really don't see how the NFL gives Beckham 1 game but Burfict 3. And yes I know the latter's history but what Beckham did was far more deliberate and dirty on a clear dead play.

Different types of setbacks though. Hill's mistake, however frustrating, came within the context of the game. It happens. No similar excuse for the damage done by Jones and Burfict though. Completely avoidable.

Fine you want a more direct analogue, Suh has never received a suspension that long either despite having an even longer record than Burfict and committing penalties with said record likewise egregious than Burfict's.

IIRC, there is some sort of language in the CBA that allowed Suh to skirt the punishment.
