Also, everyone is so ready to blame his regression on a lack of Jordy Nelson but I think we saw on Saturday there is more to it than his absence. This may just be the natural outcome of aging.

I made this comparison last year and it was shot down right away by Packer fans.

Every year that Rodgers goes without winning another Superbowl the more like Manning he becomes.

No.

Not true. Manning's offensive supporting cast has been great nearly every year he's been in the league. His team's were one of the best if not the best in football for most of those years. Rodgers hasn't had some of the same luxuries.

What's the stat? GB has lost 5 playoff games on the last play of the game? Only once was Rodgers on the field for the last play. That's more on MM than ARod.

Amazing how people will look to find excuses for Rodgers, yet wouldn't except the same for Manning.

I think multiple championships is an unreasonable expectation in a league as difficult to dominant as the NFL is. Thats too much to expect out of a single player, even if it is the QB. Besides I thought the knock on Manning was him no showing during big post season games. I doubt anyone could accuse Rodgers of choking this past weekend.

His numbers were pretty poor up until the last drive.

In fact, his numbers in the playoffs after the Super Bowl win are pretty pedestrian too. He only had one game you'd consider great since then.

I could see Giants being on him but defense that year was historically awful. Seahawks loss you could find fault for not punching in TDs.

I think they were favorites in the Giants game only.

Because he's the best and most consistent regular season QB in NFL history.

It also looks like Manning failed to score 20 points in all but one of the losses and Rodgers scored at least 20 in every loss.

It certainly makes Manning look worse.

What's your overall point though? That Brady, and to a much lesser degree Ben, have had more playoff success than Rodgers? That's just objectively true. Nothing really to argue about, which isn't your style.

Because he's arguably the greatest regular season QB ever and because he had great talent around him on offense. He consistently choked in the playoffs.

It's more about the unfair treatment of Manning, unless we are willing to do the same to Rodgers.

This becomes even more accurate if Rodgers fails to play in two more Super Bowls, or three if Peyton throws wounded ducks to dominate the Patriots this weekend.
