100% agree...he could have been the running back Brady needs...instead he will be lucky to get 750 yards with that shitty Jets offense.

Raiders add starting CB, LB & OG/OT so far.

Rashad Johnson or Eric Weddle would be a nice score.

You cannot speak of the Raider acquisitions without listing the outrageous contracts they gave out to good, not great, players

Millions and millions of reasons he didn't go to the Pats. They think they can pick a guy up off the street cheap. at RB.

Reggie is wise about front-loading contracts. What outrageous contracts are you talking about?

Osmele comes to mind first.

The Raiders are in that position where they have to overpay for talent to prove that they're serious about contending. We've seen it in town with the Cubs (2007: Soriano, DeRosa, Lilly, Marquis) and Blackhawks (2008: Campbell, Huet, Sopel).

Hardly. He is a versatile OL that can play either OG or OT. It's a front-loaded deal in the first two years w/$25 MM guaranteed. Far from outrageous.

That's not really true anymore. They drafted really well the last two years and players want to play there now.

It's a market setting contract for a good, not great player. I guess outrageous is in the eye of the beholder

True, Pats don't invest @ that position, they want backs that run and block not catch screen passes.

Did I read this right? Did the Eagles just give Bradford $18MM a year last week and just gave the great Chase Daniel $7MM a year? Say what you will, but imo Philly fans are getting exactly what they deserve across the board.

Just read on Bleacher Report that the Dolphins kept CJ Anderson stuck at the airport for 8 hours so he missed a visit with the Bears.

Insane, I'm not sure the fans wanted Bradford ever or Kelly fired. But ownership is getting exactly what they deserve.

Are you sure? Until a few weeks ago, players weren't even sure where they'd be playing. I agree that they've drafted well and things are on the upswing there, but I can see where they'd have to (Art) shell out a little more money than necessary to close a few big deals.

Yeah, players want to play for the Raiders again. They are only guaranteed to be in OAK for the next year and dudes are signing multi-year contracts. 2-3 years ago most top free agents had no interest, but that's not the case anymore. They signed the top OL on the market and now guys who want play for a "winner" now mention OAK. No way that happens a few years ago.

They are a confusing mess. It seems like they're just rolling dice all over the place. It will be interesting this year.....as in probably bad interesting. At least they're addressing their defense.

Well, good! It's fun when the Raiders are good.

Looks like Mark Sanchez to Denver...I think it's safe to call this an even worse drop off than Elway to Griese.

Brian Griese wasn't terrible on the Bears. The Bears let him go and the next season he threw like 55 times in a game against them and still beat them.

Griese wasn't really terrible in Dinver, either...the comparison is just showing a precipitous drop off from a legit Hall of Famer to...a guy.

It would be like replacing Steve Carrell on The Office with Kevin James.

Just bad.
