Raiders add starting CB, LB & OG/OT so far. Rashad Johnson or Eric Weddle would be a nice score. |

What outrageous contracts are you talking about? |

The Raiders are in that position where they have to overpay for talent to prove that they're serious about contending. We've seen it in town with the Cubs (2007: Soriano, DeRosa, Lilly, Marquis) and Blackhawks (2008: Campbell, Huet, Sopel). |

It's a front-loaded deal in the first two years w/$25 MM guaranteed. Far from outrageous. |

They drafted really well the last two years and players want to play there now. |

True, Pats don't invest @ that position, they want backs that run and block not catch screen passes. |

Did I read this right? Did the Eagles just give Bradford $18MM a year last week and just gave the great Chase Daniel $7MM a year? Say what you will, but imo Philly fans are getting exactly what they deserve across the board. |

Just read on Bleacher Report that the Dolphins kept CJ Anderson stuck at the airport for 8 hours so he missed a visit with the Bears. |

But ownership is getting exactly what they deserve. |

I agree that they've drafted well and things are on the upswing there, but I can see where they'd have to (Art) shell out a little more money than necessary to close a few big deals. |

Yeah, players want to play for the Raiders again. They are only guaranteed to be in OAK for the next year and dudes are signing multi-year contracts. 2-3 years ago most top free agents had no interest, but that's not the case anymore. They signed the top OL on the market and now guys who want play for a "winner" now mention OAK. No way that happens a few years ago. |

It will be interesting this year.....as in probably bad interesting. At least they're addressing their defense. |

Looks like Mark Sanchez to Denver...I think it's safe to call this an even worse drop off than Elway to Griese. http://www.9news.com/sports/nfl/denver- ... z/77837663 |

The Bears let him go and the next season he threw like 55 times in a game against them and still beat them. |

Griese wasn't really terrible in Dinver, either...the comparison is just showing a precipitous drop off from a legit Hall of Famer to...a guy. It would be like replacing Steve Carrell on The Office with Kevin James. Just bad. |
