I read about the possibility of Redd to Cleveland for Wally World's expiring deal (~$13 mil)

I think that would make the Cavs pretty dangerous

I think so too. I'd like to see that happen, as well as Jamison sign with a contender like LA or San Antonio. I think Artest is an idiot for not opting out of his contract. That guys impossible to figure out.

Zach, I bet you'll be really surprised to learn that ESPN is already predicting next year's playoffs.

Where did you see this FF? I looked around for a bit and didn't see it anywhere

It was either on Sportcenter or ESPN First Take today, I forgot which one, but I had it on in the background.

Oh, that would explain it. I thought you were talking about an article on their website.

All the trades and contract extensions were big gambles but they paid off. In a couple years when Boston is bad and in cap hell they can look back and say they at least won 1 championship. I wish I didn't have to go through another year of the Kobe bashing but I'm happy KG and the gang got a ring.

How are they going to be in cap hell? Sure they've got Garnett & Pierce for awhile, but I still see them playing at a high level for at least several more years

Allen for 2 more years is going to be the only rough patch, and after next year they can trade him for somebody or let his deal expire and clear up cap room.

No one else make a huge amount of money, they're all role players. And even Rondo- who'd be one person I might expect to get a significant raise- is locked up for 3 more years a bargain basement price

I see them at worst being strong contenders for at least 1 or 2 more years

I think Rondo will get a contract extention after next season. He's improved alot in just over a year and if he can improve his shooting/scoring ability, he'll be real good.

I'm real happy for Glenn "Doc" Rivers, the former Proviso East High School star done good. I think "Doc" and Tom Thibodeau absolutely outcoached Phil Jackson and found ways to contain Kobe Bryant and company on the defensive end. I thought it was quite the sight after the game to see Kevin Garnett lay on the Celtics' logo at center court as soon as the game ended. For Kevin, it was long overdue to see him win an NBA Championship, but it's very unfortunate that the Bulls weren't as proactive to get him when they had the chance. I hope the Celtics winning the title shows the Bulls what could have been...

We've produced some studs, haven't we? Then again, we also produced Sherrell Ford, Donnie Boyce, and Dee Brown. :?

Donnie Boyce unfortunately had broken down legs. He's now a Globetrotter.

On the good side, you had Jim Brewer and Michael Finley.
