So we know that the Heat are going to have to sign a bunch of guys at the minimum level. Which veterans do you think will join up with this team to chase a ring?

My guesses:
Iverson: He says he still wants to play, and will now accept any role. IMO he would hurt any team he joins, but Miami might be dumb enough to sign him

Shaq: He wants to tie Kobe's rings, and I think he would play at the minimum in Miami. Also another guy that I think would hurt this team.

Antoine Walker: He needs money and is trying to make a comeback. The shimmy will return to south-beach.

I'm thinking guys that have made some money that want to chase a ring:

TMac
Kwame Brown
Brad Miller
Richard Jefferson?
Larry Hughes

All of those guys have made a lot of money in this league already, haven't won a ring, and won't command anything near what they made before.

Richard Jefferson opted-out of a $15 million deal, there is no way he would take the minimum.

And Lebron already chased away Larry Hughes in Cleveland. He doesn't want that cancer in Miami.

Good point on Larry Hughes.
Probably with Jefferson, too, that's why I put the ? there. My only thinking is that he drastically overestimated what we can get on the open market and may use a year with a contender to try and boost that value. Either way, he's an idiot.
Plus, we don't know how much money they have to spend. Reports are that Mike Miller just got 5/30M from them. They could have all taken a lot less so that they can put together a real team, rather than the 3 of them and a bunch of bums.

I wouldn't be surprised if Shaq took the minimum to go out on a high note.
I've heard rumors that Q. Richardson and Theo Ratliff will also be joining the party.

oh, their supporting cast is going to be awesome. I told DB last night (i'm trying out my material ahead of time) that they should go for an "all-outcast/disappointment/burnout team"

I would kick the tires of T-Mac if I were the Bulls. Richard Jefferson isn't going there and I doubt Hughes will.

Why not? A 1 year deal couldn't hurt. Baron Davis has a healthy year every now and then. IMO he is worth the risk when you consider his contract would come off the books after next season.

Looks like the Heat are negotiating with Derek Fisher to go along with Miller. Pretty good....

As a starting PG Fisher is still maybe the worst in the league. I know he has value as a very limited role player on a contender still, but if he's playing more than 20 mpg you're going to be very weak in that area.

However I dont think it will matter, if the three guys stay healthy I cant see how another team can win the title unless LeBron gets into an alpha dog contest with Wade.

He'll be a Laker. They can 't offer him much money even with the big 3 taking a $2M hair cut each.

Zydrunas Ilgauskas is headed to Miami. I don't really understand this move. Ilgauskas is finished. Besides hitting the open jumper, he brings absolutely nothing to a team. He can probably get up and down the floor as quickly as Shaq nowadays.

So who is the more hated man in Cleveland now? Lebron, or career Cavelier Big Z?

Did you read Z's comments about leaving? I doubt he will be booed when he returns.

I doubt it. That man would never play for the minimum. He has kids to feed.

They should get Darko to serve as the Victory cigar.

They should just get the top 12 from that draft

He can't feed his family with an NBA salary. That's why he is broke now.

4/20 makes alot of sense with signing Darko for damn near half a decade....someone must be high as hell in the Minnesota front office

There must be something in the water up there
McHale makes move after bad move and finally he's gone
Then we get this genius who drafts Flynn and Rubio who may never even play for them
Jettisons Al Jefferson (the centerpiece of the KG trade) for cap space and future picks
Trades for the disappointing Michael Beasley
Signs Darko to a 4/20 deal
Now they are pursuing Luke Ridnour?
