I think it has something to do with Kerr being the coach and also the fact that the Lakers are terrible. That slot used to be reserved for them.

Right, I guess there just isn't many options for the Pacific time zone primetime game. We're going to be seeing a bunch of Warriors and Clippers home games on Thursday night. It would be nice to see them mix in some Suns or Kings once in awhile though.

The NBA All-Star ballot is now going to include all players under contract in the NBA. There has to be some sort of campaign to get some joke player voted in.

My picks:
JR Smith
Zaza Pachullia
Matt Bonner
Tyler Hansborough
Josh Smith

Allan Houston's still gotta be on the books somewhere, right?

ive watched a few Kings games, they have an intriguing team, i like them...although riding the wave of Rudy Gay has never really proved to end good

Cousins has been behaving well so far

Cousins and Larry Sanders have so far, something has to give.

I love the goggles Larry Sanders has donned this season. I think he's just trying to look smarter.

I'm with you on that. I've checked the Kings out over the last 2-3 yrs. Tortured soul watching them but I thought Cousins would turn out to be the best player from that class. Rudy Gay was also a good pick up for them and I'm glad they got rid of the volume shooting no defense playing Isaiah "the non Zeke" Thomas. The Kings should contend for the 8th slot if their two main guys are healthy. ESPN and TNT forces you to order the league pass if you like the NBA because they only show the same eight teams every yr. You never get to watch the up and coming superstar players because they are on crappy teams early in their career.

The Kings have blown a 24 and 26 point lead in back to back games.

Too bad the Bears can't play them.

Their bench is weak but Cousins and Rudy are playing like all stars right now and I know that one of their games Collison didn't play. I dont know if he played in the second game that was blown. They will be much improved this yr.

Hopefully they are. That first round pick would be helpful

Only a matter of time before Cousins gets another coach fired.

I'm kind of buying what he is selling. I think the guy has grown up finally. We will see but he really hasn't had any major blowups in the last yr. or so. At least not on the court. Can't speak for the locker room.

I've got my eye on that also. This yr there is a lot of size in the freshmen class. A number of the top ten players in high school were big men and there is also the kid that went to China that is a combo guard. Sacramento should finish out of the bottom ten this yr.

Did the 76ers just pull a "Bears" and set a record for blowout losses in consecutive games (120-88 and then 123-70  last night)? I guess I need to check the scores of the Bulls from the Kornel David era.

Yeah, it seems that he has finally has a handle on the on-the-court blowups. But the dude is still a head case, that has major issues with criticism.

I recently read an article about him, and how he has "matured". For any one-on-one interviews, he has his mother screen the reporter beforehand. He feels like everyone is out to get him, and make him look bad. In the article, they mention that Charles barkley criticized him early in his career for his immaturity, and since that time Cousins has refused to speak to him, or even acknowledge that he exists.

It would be great if he becomes the player he could be, but I have my doubts. I don't know if he's bottling all that negative energy up and he will eventually explode, or if he using all that negativity to motivate himself even more to succeed. He's never played with any kind of veteran leadership, so maybe he just needs to get out of Sacramento to succeed.

Cousins would probably kill him. Let's make it happen.

I remember that. Barkley really went in on him because they are both from the State of Alabama. Cousins was and probably still is a tool and he was the poster child for being a bad teammate. He used to threaten to beat the hell out teammates during games and was always pouting. The guy is arguably the best center in the game though. Its probably He and Howard at the top but I would take him because he is so much more skilled than Howard.

They're going for the younger/hipper demographic. No more commercials for catheters, or walk in tubs with Pat Boone.

Pelicans vs Kings on NBA TV fan night on Tuesday. Should be a good one.

I really missed on Anthony Davis. I never saw this one coming. I checked him out at Attack Athletic Center during Depaul's team camp the yr. he was about to become a Senior in high school. He was just beginning to get publicity. His high school team wasn't shit. He was really raw and extremely thin. At Kentucky he didn't show much of an offensive game. A lot of break away dunks and alleyoop stuff. He is a franchise changing guy. Barring injury he will be top five NBA guy for at least ten yr. I'm definitely going to watch that game. If the Pelicans finally decide to run their offense through him they may take off. They really don't feature him on offense. He gets his points but it never appears that they are running any plays for him.

I think I undersold my original Anthony Davis prediction. He is going to win MVP this year if he stays healthy.

Its looking that way. With Durant out and there may be James fatigue he is really looking like the favorite. It will be predicated on the performance of his team I think. if they are 10-15 games over .500 he gets it.
