That doesn't show he wants to win. The team he would go to would have to gut their roster just like the Knicks did to get him. If he wanted to win he would have done what LeBron did. Now he's quitting on the Knicks 20 games into the season. You sound like Bernstein.

What did Lebron do? Agree to play with a team that had last yrs. All-Star MVP. He also probably knew that Kevin Love would be part of the deal also. Cleveland's role players Waiters, Thompson, and Varejao also are better than Miami's. Lebron James really stepped out on this one. Please don't bring up the two yr. opt out again. Lebron James really isn't taking much of a risk here. He also went to a ready to win franchise. What risks was he really taking?

Marshmelo had the same option with the Rockets or Bulls. You should stop listening to Bernstein and maybe you could learn a thing or 2 about basketball.
The Guy (Gasol) you spent the better part of four months bashing is about to make the All Star team. The guy you thought would be the best fit for the Bulls (Stephenson) is already on the trading block.

And you were still clamoring for him to play for the Bulls. The Nas ticker was in full bloom providing Hrly Melo updates. Oh you wanted him on the Bulls and then you didn't, once he'd signed with the Knicks. I haven't seen anyone more hurt by a defection since Paul Mr. Wonderful Orndorff swerved Hulk Hogan on WWF back in the day

Since the start of the month Stephenson is averaging 16.3 ppg. For the season he's averaging over 7 rebounds and over 5 assists. Only a fool thinks a career 46% shooter will shoot 38% for the season. His average will continue to rise.

Nas... Let's you and I be honest with each other.

You are glad the Bulls got Gasol rather than Stephenson now, correct? All things being considered.

The Bulls front office is happy Marshmelo chose the Knicks. They have a better 4th option on the team right now.

Yes! They could have gotten both if they traded Dunleavy. Short term Gasol makes this team better than Stephenson could.

I don't recall him being a career 46% shooter. He may be don't remember that. While his scoring avg. May have risen it's a small sample size. Also his rebounding numbers have fallen. He was avg. 9 earlier in the yr. While you keep harp Ing on his assist numbers his assist to turnover ratio this yr. and for his career are terrible. No matter how, you spin it he has been a big time disappointment. I called it during the summer. Unlike you I don't change my beat.

And Luol Deng is a better all-around basketball player than Carmelo Anthony.

Good talk.

Now you wanted both and would have been happy with both Gasol and Stephenson. (I'm inferring before you distort the message). You wanted no part of Gasol and now you're coming up with Nasonomics to suggest they could have acquired both. You bashed the hell out of Gasol and now you're spinning.

Has Marshmelo or Stephenson been a bigger disappointment? Both are shooting poorly but one is being productive on the boards and the defensive end and making plays for others. One has at least 5 teams hoping they can trade for him and the other is faking an injury.

Looks like Stephenson ' s stay in Charlotte will also be short term

you sure about those five teams and now you're Dr. Nas. Talking about faking an injury. You're a medical expert now. Very Bernsteinesque of you.

Unlike you I have absolutely no problem admitting when I am wrong. Only a Bernstein fan would call that spin. I was wrong about Gasol not having much left. Clearly a change of scenery is what he needed.

On the Gasol front you don't have much of an argument. Your emphasizing of his missed layups earlier in the season though he was still shooting 49% were truly the last act of a desperate man. You're trying to find a way to keep the Stephenson fight going though. Carmelo Anthony in possibly his worst yr. is still outperforming Stephenson. I don't know what I am wrong about. I heard Jeff Van Gundy make exactly the same point about his lack of playoff success that I made. It was only a week ago that he made it. None of Anthony's teams were ever expected to win anything. He was the only All Star on his team for many of those yrs. Those rosters in Denver were not championship rosters.

Tell me how many people here said Marshmelo should have won a championship?

It's because I make a whole lot of sense. A number of people here have called him a loser because he hasn't won a championship. I don't have the time to sift through it all. It is obvious that I know my shit when it comes to hoops. There have been a few series here or there where if he'd played better his teams would have won. Many of those Denver teams would not have made the playoffs if not for his play. That's what gets overlooked. He has lost p.r. battle ever since he forced his way out of Denver. That is what it is about. The bashing started once he forced his way out. Even at that he never demanded a trade he merely stated that he would test the free agent waters.

Are you still predicting Miami to finish 3rd in the east? That was but another of your idiotic summertime predictions

I didn't say 3rd. The season is barely a month old. R-E-L-A-X

they're not going to get there. You have five teams with the Hawks improved that will beat them out. There will have to be major injuries for them to beat out the top four teams

The Bulls finished the season as a 4th seed last year. In January they were like 7 games under .500 and had already lost Rose and had just traded Deng. I wouldn't read too much into how a team with a lot of new parts played in the first month of the season. It takes time for the players to gel.

Nas you can't using the it's too early theme for everything. Miami isn't going to beat out Washington, Chicago, Cleveland, or Toronto. They may get Atlanta. That still puts, them five at best. We will see about this one.

For some things it is too early. It's not too early to say the 76ers will be awful or that the Spurs will make the playoffs despite playing their starters 20 mins a game.
