Simple search of the word "dumb" in the Bulls section and voila. There are MANY others in fact. Here ya go Denis. See you got a healthy sampling of what I am talking about previously. You know exactly what I am talking about.

Yes, we learned that with the LaVine contract.

That’s a pretty dumb way of looking at it.

15 Ppg got Isaiah Thomas a one year minimum deal.

denisdman wrote:
The last three or four times you have responded to my posts, you use terms like idiotic, dumb, insane. I mean seriously, you have an issue with hyperbole. You’re a dumb pot head, so please stop using responding me in such a disrespectful manner.

LaVine got an offer sheet from another NBA team. A second NBA team matched it. So two teams felt 15 ppg was worth about $20m per year. Then another player got $20m per year for 15 ppg. So that seems like a lot of folks valuing it that way for a young player with an injury history.

FavreFan wrote:
 “you’re a dumb pot head but please talk to me more respectfully”

Go fuck yourself. It’s not my fault you chose to get all sensitive because I pointed how flawed your reasoning was in terms of the contract.

denisdman wrote:
You could point out my flaw without saying dumb. You’ve done that several times, and I just let it go. And you do it to others. The difference is, you are pretty dumb...I don’t need to take shots endlessly without responding. I am not sensitive at all about my intelligence. I know where I stand in life.
FavreFan wrote:
Do you realize how hypocritical you sound right now?

I said the comment about a 15 ppg player being worth $40 million nowadays is dumb and then provided an example.

You got so sensitive about it you tried taking a personal shot that didn’t even make sense(potheads = dumb is an outdated stereotype by decades at this point).

Then you claim that I’m the one who’s attacking you.

Stop being such a fucking crybaby all the time. You have a past history of this with multiple board members as well. Your intelligence isn’t usually questioned but your personality has been and will continue to be as long as you keep acting like this.

See what I mean?

I forgot about that exchange. I recall him needling at me in that manner for a short time. It was annoying. When that happens, I typically just stop responding to the individual.

Most of what is posted here is opinion that two reasonable fans can disagree on. But hey whatever.

I love what I have seen so far. I was confused on many of their moves, but at least they are competitive and fun to watch. It also gives me confidence in the front office.

What's sort of ironic is the team was constructed in a way most would decry, especially after the relatively homegrown success of the Cubs and Sox (and maybe Blackhawks even earlier?). No one on the starting five is homegrown except for Williams and he's unproven. Lavine is the closest since he's blossomed in Chicago but he's not our pick. The super charged sixth man was also a free agent acquisition, just like DeRozan. In prior years if you just put together a team cut and pasted from the spare parts of other teams it usually was a ticket to NBA hell/mediocrity, unless that team of course was led by a premier player like James. Maybe these free agent Bulls are just that good or the conference is just wide open in ways it was not only 4-5 years ago. Either way it's fun so for the time being I don't mind that this team is essentially a hodgepodge of free agents rather than a team constructed upon 2-3 star homegrown players.

When he does it with racism it makes sense, when you ask him who thinks Ayton is underrated it doesn’t.

Yeah, I just gotta leave him be from now on

He's just as angry and confrontational at you when you ask who thinks Deandre Ayton is overrated as he is at WfR when he says something racist. It's the sports equivalent of the "he only knows one way to play!" trope.

I wasn't the dude that first made it "personal" but no matter.

I must have missed all of the scintillating, memorable discussions that you have been involved in around here. Apparently so has everyone else for the matter.

There was some talk he wasn't vaccinated during the finals or should have been in protocols back then. Or something.

Looks like Kyrie will be coming back.

For road games only. Good.

https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/328 ... road-games

The Brooklyn Nets are bringing back All-Star guard Kyrie Irving as a part-time player for games outside of New York and Toronto, the team announced Friday.

Irving, who has been unwilling to satisfy New York City mandates and become vaccinated to play in home games or road games at Madison Square Garden, will be eligible to play in select road games once he is able to pass a series of COVID-19 tests and get back into shape, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

The unfolding circumstances of Brooklyn's season -- injuries, seven players including James Harden lost to health and safety protocols and an inordinate minutes load on Kevin Durant, who won't play Saturday against Orlando due to right ankle soreness -- led the team to the move.

"We arrived at this decision with the full support of our players and after careful consideration of our current circumstances, including players missing games due to injuries and health and safety protocols," general manager Sean Marks said in a statement. "We believe that the addition of Kyrie will not only make us a better team but allow us to more optimally balance the physical demand on the entire roster.

"We look forward to Kyrie's return to the lineup, as well as getting our entire roster back together on the court."

The point guard's return isn't expected to happen quickly. Irving has to test negative on five successive days before he can rejoin the Nets. Once he returns, he must test every day as an unvaccinated player.

New York City's mandate allows Irving to practice at home, and the Nets agreed with Irving on a plan that would allow him to start ramping back up for a return, sources said.

The team's next road game is Dec. 23 in Portland Trail Blazers, followed by a Christmas Day matchup at the Los Angeles Lakers and a Dec. 27 contest at the LA Clippers. That stretch is followed by three more home games.

The Nets have 27 road games remaining but two are at Madison Square Garden, home of the New York Knicks, where Irving would not be able to play until he complies with the city's mandate. He also is currently ineligible to play on March 1 at Toronto, where travel for unvaccinated players across the Canadian border will be prohibited starting in January. Brooklyn (21-8) has 26 homes games remaining.

Still, having Irving back for road games is something Nets owner Joe Tsai, Marks, coach Steve Nash and key players fully supported -- and Irving has been eager to get back as well, sources said. Irving, who last practiced regularly with the team during the first week of training camp in San Diego in late September and early October, can start practicing at the team facility, though it remains to be seen when he will be able to do so with his teammates.

The team might not have a full practice for some time because of the schedule and the number of players in health and safety protocols. The Nets start a home back-to-back stint Saturday against Orlando before playing Denver on Sunday. Monday is a scheduled day off. They play the Wizards at home on Tuesday. The team is scheduled to fly to Portland on Wednesday before facing the Blazers on Thursday.

The circumstances have changed dramatically for the Nets since Tsai, Marks and the team made a collaborative decision on Oct. 12 to not have Irving be a part-time player.

Harden missed the past three games. Meanwhile, Durant is averaging 41.1 minutes in his past nine games and will be held out on Saturday to rest the ankle. Patty Mills also will rest.

"It's a really important topic," Nash said of Durant's playing time before Brooklyn beat the Philadelphia 76ers 114-105 at Barclays Center on Thursday night. "I don't know we can continue to lean on him the way we have. It doesn't feel right."

Nash later added: "It's not safe or sustainable to lean on him like that. There's gonna be a lot of consideration and we'll have to figure out ways to give him breaks."

In addition to Durant and Mills resting, seven Nets are in the protocols -- along with Harden, LaMarcus Aldridge, DeAndre' Bembry, Bruce Brown, Jevon Carter, James Johnson and Paul Millsap are out. Center Nic Claxton is questionable with left wrist soreness. Sharpshooter Joe Harris has been out as well due to left ankle surgery.

watching the Lakers lose tonight, a favorite pasttime: I said this last season, but Cam Payne is a terrible NBA player. Monty hides him well, but he is messing up their sets, missing wide (wide wide) open shots, turning the ball over left and right and he can be overpowered on defense by anyone bigger than say Muggsy Bogues. Suns need a new backup point guard. Glad the Bulls got rid of this guy.

Lakers have stuck around this season partly because their schedule is the 7th easiest in the league this year. But they've got a tough road ahead and Davis is gimpy. The key to the team seems to be Carmelo. As he goes, they go. Ariza could still give this team enough life to limp in the playoffs, and if they figure a way to manage Russ and his oddities/turnover fixation, they could still contend for the title. But they're going to have to get above the 6 seed to get to the next round.

It's going to be tough for the Lakers this season. Lebron and Westbrook are a terrible fit. 2 guys that like to pound the rock and no way will they ever be able to pigeonhole Westbrook into a catch and shoot role either. Even if he accepts the role he'd be terrible at it.

In addition don't know where the 3rd scorer comes from.and with so many older players the defense will be shitty. There will also be a slew of injuries.

Stick a fork in the Lakers. They're done.

You don’t know where the 3rd scorer comes from? They’ve got 3 of the leagues best scorers, are you forgetting AD

Historically 3rd scorers that have played with Lebron have to check the scoring aspect of their game at the door. See Chris Bosh and Kevin Love. I expect Westbrook's numbers to go down tremendously as there simply isn't enough ball to go around.

Let me make sure I have this straight:

1. A team needs 3 scorers to win a championship.
2. There's not enough balls to go around for 3 scorers on a team led by LeBron.

Conclusion: No team with LeBron can win a championship.
Interesting. Time will tell if that's correct

The ability of a 37 year old Lebron to dominate the ball and the game is a helluva lot different than the 27 year old Lebron. They are cooked

Yep.
