yea dude, this is a done deal. Tatum is a nice player, but he's never going to be as good as Mitchell. Mitchell just did something that was only topped by Kareem and Wilt. That's insane. He's on a different tier than Tatum.

Didn't see the game. Actually think i recorded it Rubio played 7 minutes. Crowder looks like he got the bulk of the time in his absence.

Did Mitchell check Westbrook then? If so he got 46 put up on his ass.

In his and your opinion so was Lonzo Ball.

You’ll never find a post of mine saying Lonzo would be a superstar and potential MVP. Mitchell is both.

You will find my post that says he won't be either.

He is a volume chucker that doesn't effect the game in any way besides scoring.

Considering Draemond Green was not too long ago considered top 15 ,Jimmy Butler top 10, and Lonzo Ball good i'm not too concerned with over the top, hyperbolic assessments.

We will see how it plays out but i'm fairly confident that Tatum will be better going forward.

All time bad opinion. He's been a phenomenal rookie, and he's still going.

All time bad opinion would be "Draemond Green is a top 15 player."  Hard to top that one.

He’s a 3x All star, 2x all nba player, and a DPOY. Like I said before, maybe basketball just isn’t your sport.

And there isn't a GM in the NBA that would build a team around him. It shouldn't be hard to find one if that were truly the case.

Since when does DPOY make a person a top 15 player?

You're sort of overmatched with this stuff.

Also you need to step your game up..You have already lost the Ball bet and probably will lose the Irving one too.

Your so called team of the future (Milwaukee) just lost a series to a team missing its two best players.

As i stated before you hopped on the Mitchell bandwagon after Ball flopped. When he began to play well he magically became " your guy".

That is rather easy to do. If he flops next year you willl simply move on to someone else and begin touting them (As you're attempting to do with Milwaukee).

Meaningless stat since most of the top rookies never play on Playoff teams. In addition to this is the fact that top Rookies rarely make it to the 2nd round which is necessary in order to play 8 games.

Also the first round of the NBA playoffs used to be 3 then 5 then 7 games. How many Elite rookies were advancing to the point where they'd get to 8 games?

So you post a stat which inherently excludes the top rookies not because of their play but because they play for shitty teams that can't make the playoffs and somehow you think I'm "making your argument for you". It is a silly argument because top performing rookies rarely play for playoff teams. Utah was a playoff team prior to Mitchell's arrival so it isn't like he elevated them anywhere.

Your top rookies rarely play for good teams so it is essentially a meaningless stat.

Donovan Mitchell is currently shooting 19 for 59 in the series against the Rockets. At one point last night he was 1 for 11 from the field.

59 shots in order to score 48 points is terrible.

Jayson Tatum has scored 48 points on 30 shots.

After shooting 8 for 24 last night Donovan Mitchell is now shooting 27 for 83 for the series against Houston. 73 points on 83 shots.

Quick math says he is shooting about 30% from the field give or take a point or two.

Never a doubt and the holes in Mitchell's game were on full display against Houston. We really will see.

And the superstar moments were on full display as well. Every young player has holes in their game. We saw Embiid’s against Boston.

Not about just holes in his game. He got exposed as a volume chucker with terrible shot selection. He put up better numbers during the season because he had more freedom than Tatum. Tatum has dropped 20+ for 7 straight games and shot a high percentage in doing so. Mitchell was never better and I never believed it. He has a wicked green light on an offensively challenged team. Never meant that he was the better player.

No, he didn't. He averaged more points, rebounds, assists, and steals per game in the playoffs than your boy Tatum.

This is what I mean when I talk about you lacking credibility. You have no ability to adapt to new information. You act like it's a virtue to never change your mind on something, even when supplied with overwhelming evidence that contradicts your original opinion.

Mitchell is going to be a great player and future All Star. So will Tatum. There's no need to put down one in order to praise the other.

Stop you are embarrassing yourself. Really embarrassing yourself. Do you even know what "volume chucker" means?

He took a quarter more shots than Tatum in Round 2 and scored 4 fewer points. His shooting percentage was atrocious in round 2 and he really didn't shoot all that well in round 1 either.

For a stats oriented guy you really lack in that area as well. He averaged less than a point per shot attempt (terrible).
He took 20 shots per game and avg about 19 points per game against Houston. Through the first 4 games he shot about 32% and for the series he was at 36%.

Stop with the constant spin jobs. I posted the stats as the series went on.

Tatum was much more impressive in round 2 and just about everyone knew it. You sound foolish quite frankly and your credibility is eroding by the minute.

Tatum's efficiency was much greater and his game more complete.

100 shots to give you 97 points plus he was completely outclassed by Harden and Paul throughout the series. 36% shooting.

Tatum also thoroughly outclassed the likely Rookie of the year too. Simmons is my guy but Tatum looked like the better player.

4 assists per game for a guy running point is terrible and i'm certain his assist rate was close to 1:1.
As far as wrong about what exactly?

Tatum is rolling. As i stated it was all good just a week ago.
