Well, the 49ers are right up there, at least when they're competitive.

The Warriors have really good attendance, though. Maybe it's one of those "there are 20,000 fans of this team and they're all at every game" sort of deals. The Bay Area seems to have a bunch of little self-contained cult followings. People who like the A's or Sharks really really really like the A's or Sharks and pretty much nothing else in life. Perhaps the Warriors are the same way.

Yeah the Warriors home crowd was as big a story as anything else in Round 1 of the 2007 playoffs when they upset Dallas. Many NBA writers compared it to the 80's NBA crowds and noted it was distinctly unique from almost any other NBA arena today.

The Warriors have made the playoffs six times since 1977. Six times! How was a team in a major media market like San Francisco allowed to be this bad for so long with no one really saying anything about it? I mean, I knew they'd sucked since Run-TMC with the exception of 2007, when even then they only finished eighth, but this is remarkable futility.

i actually did like Gugliotta's game, it just wasn't anywhere near close trade value to get in return

Yeah, Gugliotta was okay. I could have done with out the "next Larry Bird" stuff that analysts were obsessed with at the time. Not his fault though. Keith Van Horn's either.

I always had a soft spot for Keith Van Horn. Loved the high socks and his jumper.

Another solid win for the Warriors last night , beat the Jazz at home who have only lost 2 games.

Warriors matched their road win total of all last year

Shame they lost the Lakers game on Saturday

There was also an Andris Biedrins sighting last night

yeah i didn't consider the implications but you have a good point there

even though they've had some nice wins lately this upcoming stretch of games for them is going to be a pretty good indicator- they've got a home and home w/ the Clippers next week then Memphis, Portland, Denver, Miami, San Antonio, New Orleans, Cliippers again and then OKC

New Orleans is the only cupcake one in there

Clippers certainly made it a game again after the Warriors initial surge but then the Warriors pulled away eventually

i don't really see any huge flaws on this team
top tier backcourt
lee playing incredible
SOLID bench- Jack, Landry, etc.

the only thing uncertain is the play of the rookies like Barnes, a bit inconsistent of course....going to be fun watching them tackle this upcoming gauntlet of playoff teams

1 down, more to go

this is the great NBA analysis i've come to expect from you Walt
it really takes some deep thought to determine a 26 point loss, which was never in doubt, wasn't "so good"
next time Lebron drops 50 are you going to tell us it was a "good game"
