The Bulls' Kirk Hinrich didn't make the trip to Boston for tomorrow's game with the Celtics. That's the word from the Trib's K.C. Johnson & ESPNChicago.com's Nick Friedell as Hinrich continues to recover from an elbow injury.

The Celtics have lost their third player for the season. CBSSports.com reports Boston G Leandro Barbosa tore his ACL in last night's Celtics 94-91 loss to the lowly Bobcats in Charlotte. OUCH!

That's real low brow when people do that shit. I even declined a trade last year or two years ago that someone offered me as soon as I heard his guy was out for the season. It was a trade I was contemplating, and then I heard the news before he did obviously as the trade was still up there hours later.
I could never accept something like that. Nor would I offer something like that.

Will Carmelo Anthony play this eve vs. the Thunder? The Knicks' star forward missed the Pistons' game last night after hurting his knee Monday in the win over the Cavs in Cleveland.

The Knicks might not have another guy with a knee injury when they start their West Coast trip in Oakland vs. the Golden State Warriors. ESPNNewYork.com reports that Carmelo Anthony is questionable for the game with a knee injury. Although there's no structural damage, an MRI did reveal there's still fluid buildup in the back of it. Anthony did travel with the team to the West Coast, but he could miss his 4th straight game tonight after injuring it in Cleveland a week ago.

The Knicks head to Portland this eve for the second game of the NBA/TNT twinbill vs. the Blazers. Gotta think Anthony & Chandler will sit this one out.

As for Kobe Bryant and his severe ankle sprain, might this end his season completely? Orange County Register's Kevin Ding was on "The Dan Patrick Show" this morning, and he didn't sound optimistic that Kobe will play tomorrow vs. the Pacers in Indianapolis, let alone the immediate future.

He was out with a severe ankle injury last night vs. Sacramento. He won't play again tonight in Phoenix. The Lakers won't have Kobe Bryant for the second straight game.

The Sixers traded quite a bit if I recall to get Bynum in the whole Dwight Howard trade that also involved Denver, Orlando & the Lakers last summer.
