What boarderline star would you have in mind?

I wouldn't be opposed to that but I don't think the Bulls would do it. I'm sure his value is still high around the league.

I say trade him after next season if he doesn't perform at 80%, if he can then that is the man we still need to stick with if we have a chance at a title, keep him, Noah, and taj and with a boozer amnesty we can get the 2 and 3 we need

Well there were rumors last year about Aldridge wanting to come here. Love rumors were also circulating last year. Those guys are more than borderline stars but just saying. I've held that Noah should be traded, not because he sucks, but because he's so valuable that he theoretically should yield a lot in a trade.

I don't think Rose is tradeable; he either won't be traded because he returned to elite status, or he won't be traded because he's a shell of his former self, and no team is going to take on his massive contract.

What does Mirotic turn into though? A lot of people seem to think he's that second star and I think he's probably more Ryan Anderson - which isn't bad, but I don't think turns the corner either.

They will also have to pay above the rookie salary to get him here (they can because it's over 3 years since he was drafted) and that will eat cap space.

Sorry to hijack the thread but I watched the 30//30 on the Knicks/Pacers series last night and forgot how much I loved the NBA back then, my son thought it was the coolest thing ever.

That's probably my favorite 30 for 30 that has been broadcast.

Eric Gordon might be available from New Orleans. Any interest for Bulls?

Gave up on him. I thought he was gonna be a star when the trade happened.

Not sure why New Orleans would sell now. Injuries have decimated that team this season, but they have a great young group. I would keep them together for one more year at least.

Isn't he making like max money for the next 2-3 years? If I could find a taker I'd move that contract in a second.

Right, but what could they possibly get in return for him? I think they need to hold, and hope he can live up to that deal.

I think the sixers would give up someone like a thadeous young or a spencer hawes for Ben

Good point. Just not a good situation really.

To change topics, why WOULDN'T the Wolves trade Love this week? It doesn't make sense. When you know a star is leaving and your team isn't going anywhere, it's always best to be proactive and deal him ASAP for the best deal possible.

The Wolves thing is definitely puzzling. They have talent, but just can't seem to put it all together. Does Adelman need to go? They should be a playoff team.

I really can't believe that the Wolves are not a playoff team. I thought Love had a couple more years.

there are 2 key problems they have , having watched a lot of their games this year

first, they need better outside shooting. which is somewhat baffling, seeing as they have K-Mart, Barea, Budinger....but they struggle to score in a halfcourt offense , teams pack it in on Love and Pekovic and Rubio can't shoot

second, their interior defense is atrocious. pekovic is a beast , a big body and a great rebounder, but is not a shot blocker at all. Love is average to below average . their overall defense is decent, but they get beat up inside a lot

i'm not really sure what the answer is. as you guys have said too, it seems like they have a pretty solid collection of players, it just doesn't mesh at all. maybe the answer IS trading Love, get a cache of assets and let Pekovic just have the inside to himself.

Lakers trade Blake to Warriors. I actually believe the Lakers may get the better end of the deal. Maybe D'Antoni can get Brooks to play up to his potential.
