I politely inquire as to whom Walt would prefer the Bulls go after (or what the Bulls do if not actually pick anyone).

Payne MSU and Captain Thibbs doesn't play rookies...the Hornets pick blows too

Think he'll still be there? If he is, does that have any impact on Boozer (I hope) and/or Taj?

Could you expand on the idea? I thought Boozer was kinda-sorta stuck here because of cap concerns.

So Philly really isn't interested in breaking 85 points often, are they?

I get it .... just seems like a lot for a fella who may not be terribly consequential .... I mean, I know it's not, it just seems like it - but if you know it and I know it, why doesn't Minnesota know it? Or does nobody else have an offer like that for them?

Heather Cox is literally being raped by father time on live tv.

Tibs? Really? Nothing says personal familiarity and respect for a guy like mispronouncing an abbreviation of his name.

Risking wasting a high pick for the next Boris Diaw is ..... well, I already used the correct word yesterday so I'll refrain.

McDermott doesn't have the speed to get past NBA small forwards or contain them on the drive, and he doesn't have the strength or length to defend power forwards or attack those larger bigs in the post.

At 6'7 with a 6'9.25 wingspan, McDermott sizes out as a typical NBA wing, but he doesn't have the lateral quickness to defend the three-point line. He registered a horrible steal rate (0.4 percent) and block rate (0.5 percent), statistics used to quantify athleticism. In four years, McDermott played more than 4,500 minutes and blocked just 14 shots, despite playing almost exclusively at power forward...This performance basically confirmed what we already know: McDermott won't be the scorer he was in college in the NBA because he struggles to score inside against NBA length. Despite being a smart team defender, he will never provide rim protection or a bunch of steals.

But he also won't be asked to do those things. In the NBA, he'll be asked to do one thing: Shoot the ball. McDermott is such a wonderful shooter that he will provide precious pockets of space to open up the floor for his teammates. You can't leave him alone on the perimeter or it's a bucket. There are few guys who come to the NBA with such a defined skill.

“I think I’d fit in great,” McDermott said of the Bulls at the recent NBA Draft Combine. “I feel like they always have a good group of guys. And, obviously with Derrick Rose returning, he draws a lot of attention, so I feel like my outside shooting could really help them. I feel like I’m a much better defender than people give me credit [for]. I think I can really understand the team concept of defense, and I think that is a place where I could fit in.”

Okay so Korver too pricey to keep and Dunleavy...maybe right guy wrong time. So hey why not spend two picks to draft a guy we typically find in free agency every year. Though he cannot create a shot himself, he sure will knock em down once our twice crippled point guard breaks down five defenders on his own...each play...and kicks it out.

No idea. Responded to you in the DB thread. Nas and bagels probably know. What you think of the pick?

Not great. He'll fill a niche. I wasn't hoping for much in the draft though. It just needs to set them up for free agency. That's the only way to become a contender right now.

If you're a center that only plays below the rim, there's something very possibly terribly wrong.
