Melo in the starting lineup is far more detrimental to your starting lineup than Pablo Prigioni

It is simple to understand when you think about it. If Lebron James were on this Knicks team they would lose. You win with better players but the reason that the Knicks lose is because Carmelo is a loser. You are the leader of that fight. Kobe Bryant and Lebron James win with better players and in James case he has benefitted from playing in the East his entire career.

According to you teammates don't matter. That is my point. It is Bernsteinesque which is not surprising. It all comes down to the best player. It's simply excuse making to think otherwise. I hope that clarifies it for you. I attempted to address this in the summer but it is noteworthy that you didn't understand then either. Kobe was lauded as the classic winner. What the hell is he winning now that Jeremy Lin is his starting pg. What is he going to win now that he doesn't have Shaq Pau Bynum Odom Artest playing alongside him

The teammate excuse only matters when you don't get to choose your teammates. If Lebron doesn't win a title in Cleveland no one is going to make excuses for him. Kobe isn't elite any more so I don't know what your point is with him.

Melo chose New York twice. He knew who his teammates would be both times. If he didn't think he could win with them then that is the biggest indictment of him you can have.

It's simple. Carmelo is going to have a long career. We'll see if he is ever able to even come close to winning it all.

Nope. Unless the Knicks and Sixers become the only two teams in the league, Melo will never get past the second round as a member of the Knicks, barring a trade that produces a superstar for them.

When Kobe was in his prime and played with similar teammates he demanded a trade so that alone invalidates your point. He either missed the playoffs or was an 8th seed a few yrs in a row then the Bulls rumors began

He chose the money lots more money. This is really about teammates and their importance to winning.

It has more to do with playing with Irving and Love than it does choosing to play with Cleveland. He has good players on his team that is what eliminates the excuses

It's amazing that Carmelo is the only one who can never find any situation where he can have teammates that he can compete with.

It's a damn shame Marshmelo took less money to stay with the Knicks. It's amazing how Kobe could at least make it to the playoffs (in his prime) when Smush Parker was one of the best players on the team.

Kobe also missed the playoffs with Smush as his point. He also was an eighth seed with Howard as his center.

Kobe has 5 rings.

How many rings do you predict for Carmelo?

You are the same guy that stated that Erik Murphy currently out the league is better than Boozer and Boozer is better than Gasol but I know you were using hyperbole.

none but he never was the Robin to Shaq ' s batman for 3 of them nor has he ever played with Bynum when he was 2nd best center or a top ten Gasol top 6th man Odom or Artest when he was still a good player

The guy was in the playoffs every yr of his career so obviously he was competing.

Poor Marshmelo. There has never been a team with championship talent he could have played for. That's too bad because he always elevates his game in the playoffs.

We're talking about Carmelo here.

Both those players have won titles as the best player on the team. According to you, Carmelo won't even win one as the second best player.
