Dallas laying down tonight. It's criminal how bad Luka is defensively. He's giving effort tonight but he lacks instincts and foot speed. They are attacking him every time they have him one on one

He's 25-35 pounds overweight and might want to think about lifting weights occasionally.

It might also be helpful for him to understand when defenders are creeping up from behind to steal the ball. The Celtics did that to him over and over....and over.

He’s also the only guy Boston had to defend most the series.

This series proved he’s not going to carry a team to a championship by himself, especially with a well rounded team on the other side.

But this is not really true. Boston defended Kyrie hard all series. They seemed content to let Luka do what he wanted while trying to hold Kyrie down.

I think this series showed more on the limitations of Kidd than it did Luka. Although I would say I would like to see Luka get in better shape and at least try on defense.

Kyrie was clearly intimidated by the crowd in the Boston games. That seemed to impact him as much as or more than anything Boston did to him on the court.

I meant Boston in the second sentence, not Kyrie.

I wouldn't call him a pussy, but he definitely was unable to deal with the Boston crowd.

that's actually a pretty good comp , fr

yeah sadly it is a good comp. Hopefully Luka works on those issues more than Harden has.

Dallas's GM rolled the dice and acquired Kyrie for pennies on the dollar in an effort to placate Luka and it worked for the most part. They were trying to provide him with a 2nd star and they did for little or nothing. Now the trick will be to add a 3rd scorer for next season. What was painfully obvious (?other than Luka's D) is that Dallas lacks a legitimate 3rd scorer type to take pressure off of Luka/Kyrie. The problem with that is that if they add a 3rd scorer will they be allowed to play offense given Luka and Kyrie's ball. What was apparent in this series is that they don't stand a chance against good teams if both don't have it going
