I really can't understand why Miami is being given extra help from the league and the refs. Haslem should be suspended for what he did and Pittman should get at least 5 games for intentionally attacking a player. Wade should have been suspended earlier in the series for his open court tackle. I think even the NFL would have fined him for that hit.

I'm raising the stakes on the Pittman suspension. Dude should be gone for the rest of the playoffs.

He didn't even knock the guy down. Just shows how soft he is. The wink should add a few more games to his suspension. I'll be pissed if they come down really hard on him considering Wade did the same thing twice within a month. Punishing bums and giving stars a pass pisses me off. Rose was abused by the Pacers last year and I can't even recall a flagrant foul being called.

I can't believe the officials did not review any of the flagrant foul calls during the game last night. I don't see how they could Flagrant-1 on any of them and just leave it at that. The Hansborough foul was probably a flagrant-1 at worst, but the Haslem retaliation shot should have been reviewed right away, and he should have been tossed, and maybe suspended an extra game. He made no play for the ball, and was just headhunting.

The Pittman foul at the end was just disgraceful though. He should be suspended at least 5 games for that (not that it really matters). You can't go at a guy's throat. Something like that could possibly kill someone if you hit him the right way.

I can't agree more. That foul at the end was in the same class as the Meta World Peace foul. A throat shot could potentially be more damaging than an elbow to the head. With the worst case scenario you could kill or paralyze them. Maybe instead of suspending a worthless player they should handicap the game, so Indiana gets 20 extra points.

I didn't catch the Hansborough foul. I think he's a physical player, but I don't find him to be particularly dirty. Haslem has always struck me as a thug. In part because of the corn rows.

Wasn't there a foul where LeBron should have been suspended a couple games ago? I know Dwayne Wade can be a dirty player when he gets angry.

Indiana was giving hard fouls against the Bulls last year, but they just chose to win the games instead of gooning it up.

I don't get it either. One would think there would be disciplinary action taken against the Heat, but I'm not sure what will happen there.

Not quite related, the Pacers might be without both Danny Granger (ankle) & David West (knee) for Game 6 tomorrow night in Indianapolis after both of those guys were injured in last night's Game 5 loss in Miami. It's not looking good for the Pacers, thuggery or no thuggery.

I think the Sixers win an ugly game tonight just to annoy Zack.

Non playoff question: How does Tyson Chandler win defensive player of the year, but not make the All Defensive First Team? Seems a bit illogical.

hah, annoy me? this has been one of the more fun surprises in my tenure as a sixers fan. i'm enjoying it while it lasts...which won't be very much longer.

the comeback win they had was one of the most thrilling playoff games i've seen.

i don't know...on the one hand, boston may be out of gas...on t'other, the sixers aren't that good on the road and they still don't have that "closer" even though some guys have stepped up.

it'll be a fun game to watch regardless.

Can't really trust any Indiana guys tonight. LeBron is playing out of his mind so I think the Heat will finish them off, but it will be close. Losing Haslem hurts, and having to activate Eddy Curry hurts worse. If Lebron and/or Wade play an average game Indiana has a great chance to pull it out. Granger needs to step up.

The ESPN guys are too....ESPN-y. But I'll take Broussard over Stephen A. any time.

Miami's doing that "Miami" thing again. It's over. Boston, Philly...does it really matter at this point?

The Pacers, yet again, dominate early and totally, utterly, completely fall apart, freak out, forget how to pass, forget how to play defense and forget that you have to score more points than the other team to win.

Is there anyone who wants to see the Sixers play the Heat? Would the Celtics Heat be a better matchup?

I don't think it really matters much.

I think most people think Boston will play the Heat, but you never know what could happen with Philadelphia.

The thing about Philadelphia is that they do play pretty solid defense, much better than Indiana and maybe better than Boston. Not that either of them will be given much of a shot against Miami, but with Bosh out there is a slight chance to go 6 games.

Nobody left plays as good of defense as Boston.
