He did bring "Us" our only championship, but I'm a bit torn on him. I like that he's a smoker.

I was listening to the Big Show and I imagine that this was the show the writer was referencing, and was surprised that Ted Davis was so involved in this conversation about coaches. I just figured that being the radio dude for the Bucks he would shy away from some of this talk, as it might be a tad uncomfortable when you would have to interview Boylan again. He was very forthright with his comments on coaches and such.

Why would anyone want Kareem to coach their team? It's not like he is an unknown. He has coached before, and failed, quite badly as well.

Kareem coaching the Bucks would be similar to Cartwright coaching the Bulls. He'd be the fiery, passionate, old black man whom the players eventually stop listening to and respecting. Good luck with that.

To Powerhouse's point about how Kareem left Milwaukee, I completely get what you're saying. But on the flip side of it, if I'm Kareem, or Monte Ellis, or Brandon Jennings and I have a chance to leave Milwaukee and play for the Lakers, I'm jumping at it and not even thinking twice.
