Sources tell me & @JaredZwerling that Bucks have interest in NYK free agents JR Smith & Chris Copeland. They could outbid NYK 4 both guys

I like Copeland a lot but why the FUCK would they try to bring J.R. Smith in with Ellis/Jennings? Even if Ellis or Jennings goes, how would Smith be able to coexist on the court with either of those guys? And they don't even have an NBA level coach! What are they doing?

They haven't known what they are doing for about 10 years now, therein lies the problem. Just a rudderless ship.

Giannis Adektokunbo
Age: 18
From: Greece
Position: Small Forward
Height: 6-9
Weight: 215 lbs.
Hometown: Athens, Greece

MOCK DRAFT STATS:
Average: 23
Highest: 12 (1x)
Lowest: 30 (1x)
Most Predicted: 28 (2x)

STRENGTHS
- Versatile point forward
- Great size/length for his position
- Good ball handler & passer for his size

WHAT THEY'RE SAYING AROUND THE WEB

ESPN
April 18 Update: Adetokunbo is a bit of a mystery man. A long, athletic point forward playing in the fourth division in Greece. While no one knows what he'll be like playing against top competition and warn that he's a year or two away from even being ready for the D-League, they see the skill set and size and fell like in a draft filled with little upside, he might be worth taking a gamble on.

DRAFT EXPRESS
Exceptionally smooth and fluid, Adetokunbo still hasn't reached his full potential as an athlete, which makes sense if you consider he turned 18 three months ago and has grown 8 cm (a little over three inches) in the past ten months—and still might not be done growing. He's still working on his balance on the defensive end, and isn't an incredibly explosive leaper—something that could change as his lower body strength improves.

It's popular to say that a prospect--particularly an obscure one-- “plays every position on the floor,” but in the game we watched in Greece, that was indeed the case. The competition level, as you can see in the video scouting report above, is indeed nothing to write home about, but it's difficult not to be taken aback by the incredibly versatile skill-set Adetokunbo brings to the table at 6-9.

Edit: If this was the direction that you were going to go, why would you trade away Tobias Harris?

There really isn't any direction. (Or One Direction  )

He "goes for it all" trading away a young talented player in Tobias for the missing championship piece - JJ fucking Redick.

And NOW, he drafts some dude who wont be ready to contribute a damn thing for AT LEAST 3-4 years.

My point exactly. SIGH!!!!!

That's probably their best free agent acquisition in over a decade.

I think he started a few months ago with the Tobias Harris trade. :|

Anthony Goldwire

The only reason I liked him was because he used to rock this part on the side of hair that I thought was awesome as a kid. I'll try to see if I can find it.

edit: This was the best pic I could find of it, if you look closely you will see a small, faint part on the side right where the "fade" is. He was only guy in NBA that had the part right there.

Full tank mode to eventually get to what?

When aren't they in full tank mode?

The curse of the small/mid market NBA team. Don't see it changing anytime soon. I think the last time the Bucks were a serious team was the early 2000s when they were led by Ray Allen, Glen Robinson, and Sam Cassell. I'm probably missing a key player or two. I think they came within a game or two of the Finals one year.

You got it Vegan, they basically missed going to the finals by a missed 12 ft baseline jumper by Robinson. :(
