Spurs postseason in 2012 = Sox postseason in 2005

Ok, seriously. This is just ridiculous. The Spurs look as though they sold their souls to Satan or something. This is some videogame shit right now.

Damn. Spurs just dominating in all aspects, best team in the league.

Problem is that they don't have LeBron which means the Heat win in 4.

Idk if a healthy Miami Heat team would give the Spurs a 6 game series @ this point...

This is on par with what I expected. They've been playing like this all season. They've only lost 5 times with Manu, Parker, and Duncan all playing.

Today I caught a bit of B&B and Boers was saying something about how there's a player in the NBA
playoffs this year that he now considers possibly to be among the 5 greatest of all time. I was thinking he was talking about
Tim Duncan and his, what 4 going on 5 NBA championships? Nope. Bernstein immediately chimes in: "Has to be" or "Can only be" "Lebron."
which even if that wasn't where Terry was going, it's where he ended up.

Yeah, FF, you're out ahead of your skis a bit. The Spurs have been great all year, but this is another level. Pop has been resting players, and only now are we seeing their true form. They're practically breathtaking at this level.

I actually thought the same thing, but to Bernstein's defense, LeBron has been legendary from an an individual perspective. Were it not for Jordan, he'd literally be off the charts.

This is the high end of their game but let's not act like we haven't seen this before. They've won multiple games by 15+ during this streak and those were some good teams also. But mainly I'm talking about how they move the ball and get open looks and generally how great they are. Some people may be just seeing it now but that doesn't mean it's their first time playing this well.

I'll admit, I hadn't kept up with the Spurs this year. I had some other teams on my watch list and I tend to ignore San Antonio during the regular season. I was busy watching the fucking Knicks.

Chin up.

They just can't help themselves, well, at least BeRnstine can't because who knows where Terry was going with that and either way he was going to agree with whatever Bernstine said.

Greatest Top 5 playoff player ever that can't win the playoffs and get a ring even with 2 other superstars on the team. Wow, awesome.

Question:

If the Finals are Spurs vs Heat and the Spurs win and win convincingly (or not either way), what is the bigger sports story?

A.) Spurs yet again show they are an awesome, well-coached team. In the Pantheon of Best NBA Teams in History. Tim Duncan is ageless and awesome.

B.)LeBron, yet again, fails to win a ring and says something totally stupid in the post-game.

It would be cool if B&B didn't factor into damn near every discussion on this board. This is like motherfucking Mike North circa 2007. EVERYTHING always came back to him. Let's talk basketball. Again, who the fuck cares what B&B think man?

LeBron by a mile, and rightly so.

The Spurs and Tim Duncan are boring to the average fan.

It would be LeBron failing, but it wouldn't be justified. The Spurs are a much better team than the Heat without Bosh. If the Heat lose I don't think it's fair to criticize LeBron too much, depending on how he plays obviously.

FavreFan is going to make me start rooting for Miami to avoid the inevitable years of him patting himself on the back for thinking the Spurs would win like he's patted himself on the back for years for thinking Rondo would be good.

I'm not patting myself on the back, I'm just saying what I've been saying about the Spurs. It turns out they might be a lot better than I thought. And I do really like the team so I'm enjoying it.
