Well that too, although Noah is like a D+ and Vara-Ho is an F so it's not a big gap.

Not arguing COF's point necessarily, but didn't Varajao drop like 26 on DaBoo a while ago? Granted, it was during Rose's rookie year and that was a bad team but still...I can't see any situation or circumstance where Noah goes off offensively like that.

Noah has scored 26 in a game already, and he's been improving offensively every year he's been a pro.

He also cost them the game when he decided to bring the ball up himself late in OT.

After tonight, it sounds like more games will be cancelled and if you listen to some people, the season will be cancelled.

Yeah, the entire process is screwed. At best, there will probably be a very short season like 1999. After 4 straight days of meetings, barely any progress was made.

Hey NBA, I am starting not to care.... get your shit together owners and offer these guys a little bit more
dough and move on. I'd hate to see the Bulls lose this season but as college football gets a bit more interesting
and the NFL playoff race is starting to shape up, not to mention a little college hoops gets going soon, I
couldn't care less about these prima donnas. Have fun playing in Estonia.

It only seemed fitting that NBA Commissioner David Stern was too sick to be in the room with fellow owners & players during the 5 hours that led to talks being broken off. When he's well enough either today or Monday, I think the next shoe that falls is that the next 2 weeks of November games, which would have been the start of the Bulls' annual Ringling Bros. Circus road trip out West, will be the among the next set of games to be cancelled.

Meanwhile, Comcast SportsNet has announced that they'll start airing 15 classic Bulls' games from the Jordan era, starting with the game from 1987 vs. the Nets in which you know who scored 58 points. It'll air on CSN Wednesday, November 2nd at 7:30p.

It's like seeing viscous torture, mutilation and humiliation all rolled into one. The players really have no option but to take the best deal the owners offer and capitulate before they all go and file Chapt. 11 or take out million dollar loans at 50% interest from some slime-ball in Las Vegas. The owners will make them feel pain and then just a bit more as they have the leverage. The NBA players will get thumped on this one just like the NFL players did with all the sound and fury signifying nothing.

Was the above overly-dramatic? Possibly, but that's what it looks like to me. Hopefully after the players get done getting destroyed we won't have to see shitty players getting huge contracts all over the place and making us all sad.

Oh well.

If my math is correct, the NBA lockout will wipe out the entire month of November with these latest cancellations. For the Bulls, it also wipes out what would have been the annual Ringling Bros. Circus road trip that forces them out of United Center right around Thanksgiving.

While these latest cancellations cool what NBA Commissioner David Stern told WFAN SportsRadio's Mike Francesa about 2 weeks ago in which the Commish hinted that the Christmas Day games would be in danger of not being played, it still appears to be a longshot that there will be ANY games played before the calendar turns to 2012.

you know, at this point i'd almost be up for another WNBA season to whet my appetite for professional basketball.

please note that i said 'almost.' i'd much rather have the NHL drop the hammer and institute the 2pt line (to give white people a chance!) at which point i'd say fuck basketball up it's stupid fucking ass!!#@$#@ and never look back.....

....until the season tips off in february =D

Why is there a WNBA? ESPN & ABC may have more than a casual interest, but most don't care about it...

Looks like the players don't really care either. They'd rather go play in foreign countries rather than negotiating. Helluva job players!

The lockout will greatly aid older player/veteran laiden teams like Miami, the Lakers, Boston and San Antonio. A shorter season removes some of the Bulls' competitive advantage in this area.

If anyone else posted this I would assume it was a joke. Considering your history of hating players when they're in negotiations with owners I can only assume that this is a serious post. Unfortunately it's really silly. What does the players playing in foreign countries have to do with negotiations? If Billy Hunter and Fisher put on a show in Turkey then I could understand. Sure the players are trying to sway public opinion and entertain the fans by putting on these free exhibition games. That being said they aren't effecting negotiations. Kobe and Rose don't need to be at the negotiation table. Once the owners are ready to play nice with each other or the players completely cave we'll see basketball again. Since the Player's Association forced the players to save money and many players (outside of Delonte West) have overseas options the players won't likely cave more than they have. Also since some owners lose less money when the games aren't played they won't be willing to negotiate in good faith unless they're getting just about all they're asking for.

If there isn't a season it will kill the careers of a few players. At this point it appears there may not be a season.
