If they didn't yet, and they gave up Bynum, EVERYBODY should be talking about this every day during the NBA season.

Nope, he's a Free Ajent at the end of the season.

That's unbelieveable. But New Jersey gave up their cap room, and the Lakers will be able to offer him $30 million more than any other team.

If he clashes with Kobe and they don't win a title, he'll be gone.

He is going to re up with LA either way. Unless this whole situation explodes spectacularly. And with Mike Brown involved anything is possible.

That seems intuitive, but where would he go? Dallas?

Man Kawhi is makin me look bad right now. Bad game on both ends, his head just isn't it.

At least he converted a wide open layup as I'm typing this. Baby steps.

Good game so far, ugly at times.

That's what I was thinking. They're the only contending team left with cap space. I believe Dallas was one of the places on his stupid list too.

I like the way your guy Martin is playing. Not sure what his stats are but he's doing a good job feeling his way into this offense against a good team on the road. Playing smart. I know you saw when Kawhi bottled him up on that one play 8)

My guy K-Mart checking in with 7/0/3/1. He'll finish with 16 points.

Yeah, ugly game for Kawhi. Two points at the half. He'll come around though. He'll probably get it together in the 3rd.

I like that the Spurs changed their painted area from black and wood to all black. I like the home gray unis too.

Man that was the weakest flagrant call I've ever seen in my life.

I like the courts. Not a fan of their new jerseys. They're alright I guess, but I liked the older ones more.

Man, it's cool than Bernstein missed having LeBron on his tv. I get that. I missed having these Spurs on mine.

I know I give you crap about that, but the Spurs are still gonna be right there as 3rd best in the West. It amazes me because we're getting close to 10 years with the current core (Duncan/Parker/Manu) and they haven't dropped off much. Popovich gets a lot of credit for that.

They just need one big man that can rebound and play defense next to Duncan. Same guy they have needed his whole career basically. I think the rest of the team is as strong as ever, assuming Green and Leonard improve off of last year's impressive season. I'm not entirely convinced they are not the best team in the West. 8)

True. I think I underrated them by saying 3rd. They're definitely better than the Lakers at this point.

Coaching matters. Scott Brooks is an average head coach, so the firepower they have can carry the Thunder to a 1 or 2 seed. Then his flaws get magnified if properly exploited, like last year's Finals when he stubbornly refused to go small and it resulted in Bosh running circles around Perkins and Ibaka guarding Shane Battier. So if Scott Brooks hasn't learned from last season, his players(Russell Westbrook) shouldn't get the blame. He should.

The Lakets have as much talent as anyone, including the Heat. But they have a truly terrible head coach. So bad that they can't even cruise to regular season wins like the Thunder because he is in there proactively fucking things up. Kobe is in full mutiny first mate wanting to take over the ship mode. Who knows what's on Dwight's mind. I don't have much respect for the Lakers this year. Their talent dictates that they'll still be a top 4 seed and in the hunt, but I believe the Spurs would beat them because of the enormous coaching advantage.

Spurs have one of the greatest coaches in league history, apparently still at the top of his game. He has as much depth 1-4 as anyone in the league. They were historically great for like a 25 game span last march/April. I think they are as much in the race as anyone in the West.

Ibaka's going into shut-down mode. Duncan couldn't do shit.

Martin missing some key looks here in the 2nd half.

Wow what a game! Love the Parker three but I hate that the Spurs tighten up and get timid down the stretch. They are afraid to take it to the basket.

Bobcats beat the Pacers

Turned to the Knicks/Heat game the past half hour. NY is killing them. Melo is giving a shit on defense and playing flawlessly basically all around. I don't think this says anything about Miami. Not sure about NY. Might just be one of those games.

Bucks with a SOLID road win at Boston.

Harden with 40, Rockets look to win another road one. @ Bernstein.

Magic beating Denver fairly easily. Denver is struggling so far.

Edit: Just saw Melo is shooting 9/24 with 1 assist. He's played much better and much more selflessly in the 3rd quarter than those numbers indicate.

The New York crowd was fired up post Sandy. BernSTINE told me LeBron was unbeatable.....I don't know what to believe anymore.

James Harden had 82 pts in two games. Only two players have scored more in first two games of a season: Wilt Chamberlain and Michael Jordan.

Damian Lillard with 21/7 following his 20/10 debut. Hopefully this means we have more than one ROY candidate.

The Lakers are really old, slow, and terrible defensively. At least as long as Dwight keeps playing like this. They need to fire Mike Brown tonight.

Jeremy Lin with 21/10/7, going a bit overlooked with Harden's coming out party.

Detroit should play Andre Drummond a lot more. He barely played at all Wednesday night and I saw him in there in the 2nd quarter and had 5 boards in like 3-4 minutes and made a couple good defensive plays.

Anthony Davis was mildly concussed by Austin Rivers and sat out the 2nd half.

Zach Randolph is a wrecking machine. First the suplex to Blake Griffin last night....and now tonight he knocked into Brandon Rush who was mid-air, and then Rush landed awkwardly and it appears that something with his knee has probably ended his season.
Not two minutes later, Randolph scratched the eye of Festus Ezeli who had to leave the game.

To Zach's credit, he did go back to the Warriors lockerroom to check on Rush at the first timeout available.

Is Ruben Patterson still in the league?
