Makes me wonder if things were ok in the locker room the last year or so. It looks like they're making no attempt to stay together.

Edit: nevermind. Miami could still re - sign them for less.

I guess we'll find out if they were trying to help with cap flexibility or they are really considering leaving.

Props to Wade. He doesn't need more money. This was clearly a selfless move to keep Bron

From what Ive seen they're doing it to take less money so they can upgrade around them and LBJ. No way anyone else signs Wade for anything close to 41 million. Surprisingly it looks as if he's doing it to help the team reload

It's so weird that Bosh is a factor in these discussions. He's basically a role player that makes a ton of money.

I'd rather have him than Wade going forward.

It seems like regardless of what star big man you put with Wade and James, the same thing was bound to happen...

Yet he's really good while Noah is just some overrated buffoon.

Yeah I mean one of the main reasons I said that is Wade is like 3/4 of the way to being Charles Barkley already. If you add weight during a "grueling" playoff run, you probably aren't too dedicated to your craft.

You're probably right, but a BIG middle man who could play defense and board would be much more pivotal to their success than another spot up shooter who can occasionally create his own shot.

This is not a selfless move. He's probably doing exactly what I said he would. He'll take $60M over 4 years instead of $42M over 2 years. If he takes less than $42M then we can talk about being selfless. Same with Bosh.

Bosh is different. He could get 4/$60 from a couple different teams right now(thinking Houston in particular).

True. I think if you really look at his stats and play you will notice his game is in decline. As far as I know injuries aren't the blame.

It is also being reported that Lebron wants a max deal.

How is that going to work in Miami? Wade and Bosh take discounts while Lebron gets a max deal?

If Lebron really wants a max deal it won't be in Miami, at least not with the 3 of them.

I don't think Wade would be taking a discount. I don't think he can get more than 3/$40M on the open market, and even that would be a terrible contract.

Thats what Im saying. is anyone going to pay him more than the 40 million he was guaranteed to make next 2 years? No fucking way.

Wade needs to play for a current contender if he wants a shot at another ring. He could help in playoff games down the stretch and in crucial moments, but he can't carry the load anymore for extended periods.

Miami will. That's why he opted out.

I agree , but all this is a wink and nod situation to get LeBron back. They wouldn't sign him for a lot w/o bron.
