RPB had a severe mancrush on Durant last spring. Not sure if he still does. I think Durant is the 2nd best player in the league and Westbrook is top 10. I just don't trust their frontcourt, bench, or coach. They'll be a title contender for the next 3-4 years at least.

Agree on KD and RW, but we'll have to wait and see I guess about everything else. The coach and frontcourt were good enough in 2012 though...

Good enough to be 2nd best. I don't think OKC fans should be content with that though.

I don't think they should be content with second best either. But that was a young team, and they are still young at certain positions, so second best said a lot about their potential. Assuming growth, maturation, and good health, I can't envision a scenario which doesn't have them winning at least 2-3 championships within the next five years. You said something similar about them being "contenders" for 4-5 years, but wasn't sure if you meant champions. I envision dominance for them.

I think that's way too premature to predict. I'm still not positive Durant has enough killer instinct to win one title. He might be too nice a guy.

I expect the Bulls to be right there in the mix as well.

One of the most disappointing losses I've ever witnessed when I have a rooting interest. Plus I'm dead tired today. Current murder list:
Manu, Tiago, Popovich.

Does it matter? He sucks a dick, as well.

Where was Duncan in the 2nd half?

Whatever, fuck it. I'm out.

Wake me up when Da' Bears are in camp and Hampton is suiting up to crack some skulls.

Ya...

See ya back here Thursday

I understand the Heat by 20 thinking but I don't see the Spurs goin out like that

Yeah, I'll be back with a rested soul and fresh attitude.

Reading it this morning was really fun.

The highs and lows, the appearance of Kid Cairo, and the manic intensity of SomeGuy were quite the thing.

Are these commercials for White House Down thought to make me want to see that movie? If a summer action movie can't give me 30 seconds of guns and rockets and punches and arabs and kicks and cracks and boobies and airplanes than it is probably a movie I'm not going to see.

They should have called an offensive foul. You can't grab the opposing player's jersey.

Ginobli's disastrous performance really negated Duncan's [first half] brilliance in game six. If Ginobli stops creating extra possessions for the Heat, and Duncan/Parker/Leonard do their thing, I like the Spurs' chances. I say this as someone who expected the Heat to win. I don't know what to think anymore after game six.

Why even start Manu? What would be the harm in putting Gery Neal and let him recreate?

At this point signing Aaron Grey and putting him in wouldn't be much a downgrade.

I'm down on Manu too, but I suspect he plays for the same reason Spoelstra plays Wade. The hope is they rediscover brilliance at opportune times. They've both been simultaneously bad and good this series.
