it didn't surprise me that the sixers dropped the first game. they had a long layoff and they have no playoff experience together yet. i don't think if they don't win this series it's a "choke job". they're still pretty raw. but i think they can make this a good series. they'll win a few in philly.

Sixers need to push the action and try to get transition points; making their moves before the Celts defense settles in and shuts em down in the half-court set; upping their defensive game to get turnovers/defensive boards that they can convert to fast-break points.

They may have to switch the lineup. Still early but they struggled guarding dribble penetration last night. A lot of Boston's 3 point shots were simple drive and kicks.

May not be anywhere for them to hide Redick on D either. He can't check Rozier Tatum or Smart.

Boston shot close to 50% from 3. Don't expect that to continue.

Embiid has to do better on closing out on Horford too. Philly's defense has been solid but not last night. Thursday's game is huge.

Yeah, Celts shooting was as good as it gets in game 1. Be a test of the Sixers youth if they can shake off a poor opening game in a series, get their winning groove back and rattle off wins the way they had been coming into the series. Sixers need to win this series in 6--Stevens coaching/game planning + home court/home officiating would make taking a game 7 off of the Celts in Boston near impossible. If the Sixers hold serve at home, they only need to split games 2/5 in Boston to win the series. Very doable for this Sixers team.

I'm interested in seeing what adjustments Brown makes for game 2. I really would like to see Fultz with the second unit but maybe they think the moment is too big for him.

Boston really tagged Philly's shooters last night. They were content to let Embiid go one on one but they weren't going to let the perimeter guys go off. Redick had a quiet 20.
