Very well-deserving. I've been a Crawford fan ever since he outplayed the teacher's pet, Jay Williams.

In Williams rookie year...

Lets play Clue, no clue sucks, lets play the What if game?

What if Jay Williams wasnt a biker board member?
Think he'd be better than Crawford?

I do.

I do.

I disagree, Jay Williams went to Duke.

Case closed.

That wouldn't be so apparent if Tractor didn't eat his way out of the league.

The Atlanta Hawks have fired head coach Mike Woodson. I've heard Bernsy mention he could be Philadelphia-bound, especially if Larry Brown leaves Charlotte to become the 76ers' new Team President.

Chris Mannix, the veteran Sports Illustrated NBA writer, was a guest earlier this week on "The Dan Patrick Show". He seems to think the Hawks may go cheap for their next head coach now that Mike Woodson has been officially shown the door.

Mannix did mention with D.P. the other day that the Celtics' assistant has been mentioned as a possible replacement for the now fired Woodson in Atlanta.

the supposed knock on him is that he's tough on players but that he doesn't work hard himself. in any case, he seems to me to be of the Skiles vein, in that his act has a short shelf-life. i mean really tactical wise anybody is going to be better than Woodson. the one play in his offensive playbook is iso Joe, and the one play in his defensive playbook is switch on every screen all the time every time

I suppose for the record I don't think he's a horrible coach or anything, I would just prefer many others that are available over him.

If the Bulls went for a veteran head coach, Byron Scott's the best of an underwhelming group of unemployed coaches. Considering the fact Scott's a World Champion Laker as a player, plus coached Jason Kidd and the New Jersey Nets to the NBA Finals & had success in New Orleans with another point guard in Chris Paul, I felt Derrick Rose would thrive if the Bulls hired Byron as head coach. However, the knock on Scott isn't just the work ethic, but it's believed he's not much of a defensive head coach. Defense is something "GarPax" really wants in their next Bulls' head coach, but I still maintain my skeptism that Jerry Reinsdorf's ready to open up the wallet for whoever he wants as this team's next head coach. I think the Hawks may also want to go cheap for their next court boss...

while no one would pick this current Hawks team to make any serious playoff noise, they do have a really nice run going on . some real quality wins
