And honestly now that I think about it, Olowokandi may have been a better #1 pick than Greg Oden all things considered. At least Kandi played quite a few years in the league. Oden has only played in 82 games in almost 5 years.

And he was impossible to guard. Glenn Robinson racked up points on bad teams

Yes. This is why I'm convinced BC didn't actually watch basketball in the 90s. Reggie did not need space to get a shot off. You absolutely could not sag off him in any way because he could consistently splash it anywhere within 24 feet of the basket.

The guy could not create his own shot. He just ran people off of screens non-stop. How does someone impossible to guard score so little? He was a good scorer, but never elite. He did nothing else but shoot.

If you want to put him in the HOF for shooters, go ahead, but he wasn't a premier all around player that deserves to be in the NBA HOF.

I don't think HOF necessarily means "premier all around player." HOF to me means, "one of the best ever at what he does". Reggie Miller was a shooter. He was arguably the best ever at it.

And yes, he ran people off screens. Essentially, that's how he did create his own shot more or less. Few were better at moving without the ball and creating separation than he was.

I wish I got to see Gene in his prime. I only got to see him towards the end of his career which wasn't as good.
