incidentally i caught about 5-10mins of the women's team today and i was still amazed that my girl sue bird is still out there reppin for team USA! you go girl! i reckon she's gotta be like carbon dated to 2.3 billion years old in basketball years. |

USA basketball is only a big deal once they lose. No one wants to see a perpetual stream of blowouts because it's boring to watch. If it's a close game they will be criticized. If it's a loss they will be vilified. They are truly in a no-win situation. You will never get 100% buy in from all of the top guys anymore. Every team going forward will have about 3-4 guys that have never made an all star team. |

I caught the Argentina vs Brazil game on Saturday and it was incredibly entertaining and got to see Nocioni drop 37 points on Brazil and keep Argentina in the game enough for them to have a chance to win. The crowd was fired up. I always liked Noc and his motor and I think he had an edge to his game that is completely missing from Niko's game of pump fakes and pull ups. |
