What would you have done other than draft Carter? See as this time of year brings about the annual GarPax are dumb fucks what would you have done? Placed it in the Bulls section. |

I am wondering the same thing. I guess the only thing people could say would be Porter or making a bigger effort to move up. Otherwise, I don't see an obviously better choice. |

I would have tried to trade up to 3 once Bagley was picked second. I might have considered trading back a few and then land either Knox, Mikal Bridges or Lonnie Walker. |

Trading is really hard with every pick being leaked. Hawks GM admitted he cancelled a trade because he saw on twitter who everyone was taking ahead of him before 19. |

needed to get Doncic. He was the guy they needed. Otherwise Carter is fine. |

You trade up with Memphis. Take on Parsons and give them a protected first next year + Portis/Dunn. Then you've got Trae Young and Atlanta is forced into dealing with you. You extract Doncic from them for a pittance. Bulls have no creativity though and are more interested in building "goodwill" by donating players. I dont know how you exist as a true diehard Bulls fan this morning, this draft failure would be my last straw. |

Also wtf is with them promising to draft a guy at 22? Who the fuck does that? This isn't round 37 of the MLB draft! What are they even doing? |

My theory is its a favor to the agent. Same guy represents Hutchison as does Portis. |

well I could see how that would play out, but really you were worried somebody was going to take him higher than 22? what the hell happened to that big guy out of Texas A&M? that would've been my pick. |

I'm surprised you started a thread like this. I thought you were upset they didn't take Porter. I would have rather had Sexton but I'm not upset with the pick. |

The Bulls give up this year’s 1st, next year’s 1st, and Bobby Portis to move up to #4 to draft a player they don’t want. 3. The Bulls also receive a 30 year old who averaged 8 points a game last season and owed $25 million each of the next 2 seasons. Safe to say he is also a player they don’t want. 4. The Bulls get on the phone with Atlanta shortly after drafting Young and say “What’s up? We got your guy! You have to give us Doncic! |

At that slot 1. Porter 2. Carter. Said it about a week ago. I'm good with the pick. |

Hate to give the "book it" to guys that i haven't seen but from what i've read i like. Summer league validation will be forthcoming on him. I saw Porter in high school and i'm convinced barring injury. |

He is more skilled than Taj by all accounts. Not as good of an Athlete. Bigger than Horford though. I like the pick because it feels a need also. I see Trae Young as an Eddie House Dana Barros Nate Robinson type. Sparkplug off the bench and nothing else. |

Like I said, we shit away an entire season trying to win. It sucks to be stuck with a "nice" fills a need" guy. |

Caller Bob wrote: Like I said, we shit away an entire season trying to win. It sucks to be stuck with a "nice" fills a need" guy. Nah they didn't shit hard enough. If they'd had diarrhea then they'd have gotten a higher draft choice. They didn't effectively tank and as i remember you were in favor of that so we get what we get. They should have gone all in but instead they half assed the tankjob. FWIW i've seen some mock drafts that have suggested that he may be one of the better players when this is said and done. Really has no glaring holes in his game. Not overly athletic is the one major criticism of him. I can roll with that. |
