Without question to me. Tatum looks like he'll be one of the next greats and is on the verge of becoming my favorite player. He has that it gene.

Undersized scoring two guards never make it big. The only ones I can think of in recent memory are Wade and Iverson. Mitchell is probably gonna be a better Ben Gordon. Meh

He isn't wrong though. I have him as a slightly better Dion Waiters. Don't know if he has Waiters's off the bounce game.

Look it up. It's a good comp. High volume scorer and less than 4 boards and assists. Not really that special of a prototype. Ain't my fault you get super infatuated with small sample sizes.

I like Mitchell and wanted him to win Rookie of the Year. That being said, while I certainly wouldn't go as far as vegan and ltg, I do think there's good reason to be concerned about him unless he's able to improve the other facets of his game. The honeymoon period is a lot shorter for high volume scoring guards than it was 10-15 years ago.

Because what he did last year as a rookie (especially in the playoffs) was arguably more impressive than anything Gordon or Waiters have ever done. And because (as FF said) it strikes me as hasty to not just fear but outright conclude that he's doomed to forever repeat his rookie year production.

Ben Gordon's series against Boston was more impressive than what Mitchell did against OKC. Mitchell was extremely pedestrian against Houston and sort of got exposed as a guy that struggles to get his own look. Rubio is helping to make him.

Yep. He is Ronald "Flip" Murray with more hype and a slightly larger sample size. FF is infatuated with him because he is trying to move on from the Lonzo debacle and his miscalculation involving Lauri. Mitchell is cool. Probably will make an All Star team or two. Top 10 guy or even top 15 I don't see in his future. He is a one dimensional scorer. Doesn't impact the game in any other meaningful way. In order to be dynamic with his game you'd have to drop 25 or better a game. He isn't the guy for that.
