Starting to be a lot of rumblings that he may be the best player in the game currently. Anyone agree with this? My guy Sam Smith says he is the best player in the game right now. It might be hard to argue. Think I have heard a few others say either that or no worse than 2nd. |

The Pelicans look like they will be one of the surprise teams this year. Its early but they have made some under the radar (Randle, Payton, Okafor) moves. If Okafor doesn't play well for them its over. Gentry is a helluva offensive coach and if he can't find his groove with him then he needs to be out the league. He has dropped a lot of weight so we will see. I wasn't sold on Anthony Davis as an impact player for a long time but that dude gets it done. |

I don't think subtracting Cousins adds 7-8 wins. At some point Davis will get hurt, again. |

I think it’s fair to question it. I just don’t think he is. I do agree he takes more plays off than most superstars though. You know I don’t like Russ but if he has Russ’s competitiveness I think he’d be a 2x MVP by now probably. Seems like he doesn’t have the heart. I still think he’s a top 5-7 player and that’s where just about everyone has him. I don’t see anyone saying he’s the best player. |

He’s a lazy defensive player that gets away with it more than a guy like Harden because his natural ability mitigates it a bit. I still really like him and would sell the farm for him if I’m an NBA team. |

The best player in the league has to have more team success. AD could not lead a team to a title. He is a number 2 on a championship team. It's a perimeter-dominated game now. The best players have the ball in their hands most of the time. |

There’s a solid gap between best player in the league and #2 on a championship team. I don’t agree with that assessment at all. |
