in the mid 90s, it was found he had AIDS, and he was gonna die in a few years. Yet here he is 23 years later, bombastic, president of a team, quitting a team, ambassador of a team, and never a mention of his AIDS.

Was he cured? Did they actually ever find a cure for AIDS? Or does he still have AIDS and will his lifespan be shortened because of it?

From what I understand he has HIV, which can develop into AIDS. But people can live longer if they can stop the progression.

Why does that make you mad?

Pretty sure I remember he tried experimental treatment when he was diagnosed and it worked. And they still use that treatment today in a lot of people.
