Say a prayer for all the players who will drafted tonight by cities they do not want to live in and will have to suffer for the next 4 or 5 years in those places. Supposed to be a three person draft though history suggest you will find some really good players later on. Do the Bulls try to trade up for a guy who played only 5 college games so his weaknesses were not exposed or do they trade back in the draft for a walking injury like Bol Bol? I am half surprised Woj has not tweeted out the first ten picks already.

This. Best to just shut down social media tonight if you want to enjoy the draft.

ESPN hired Woj so he wouldn't do that anymore, but I'm sure there are other reporters able to fill the void. I always stay off Twitter during the draft.

I’m interested most in what the Bulls and Suns will do. Both were fucked on Lottery night (Suns moreso) and both desperately need a PG.

Aren't any good PGs. Take Reddish.

I'd be fine with DeAndre Hunter if we don't get a PG but he won't be there at 7. It's White or Garland. If the Bulls don't get either one it puts a ton of pressure on them in FA.

seems like there's always some second-rate PGs floating around free agency.

We can rule out guys like Kemba and Kyrie. We can also probably rule out Russell and Brogdon as RFA's, although I would make a strong offer to Brogdon and force Milwaukee to match it.

The more affordable options are guys like Rubio, Beverly, Rozier (RFA). Rubio fits but I don't really like him all that much. Beverley and Rozier would still leave us lacking a desperately needed playmaker.

Rondo and Rose are available if we want to bring either one back.

I like Delon Wright a lot and would make a reasonable offer to him as a RFA and see if Memphis would match.

Basically everyone else who is available is worse than Dunn.

That can't be. Dunn is horrible. I'd rather roll with Archie.

It's true. There's realistically about 2-3 guys we have a shot at in FA who would be upgrades over Dunn.

We need to get our guy tonight.

yes, I wouldn't mind a trade down to grab him and someone else. seems like there are more inneresting prospects at the bottom of the first round than last year (Hutchison ugh).

Spurs are gonna grab him if he's available at 19. Supposedly Atlanta has been shopping the #17 pick

I like what I've read about KZ Okpala as a potential 2nd round pick for the Bulls (assuming we don't sell it for cash for Jerry to pocket)

KZ Okpala (Stanford) 6’9 210 SF Age: 20

Okpala is a good scorer off the dribble and can finish strong around the rim. He will need to add more to his frame, but it looks like has room to add weight and strength. He is tall for his position and it allows him to cheat around the basket with his height and 7’2 wingspan. Okpala is a decent playmaker where he averaged 1.9 assists at his time at Stanford, and he is solid on the defensive end where he can utilize his athleticism, quick feet, and long wingspan. His shot improved during his two years at Stanford but if he wants to excel at the next level, he will need to rely more on his jump shot. He shot 37% from beyond the arc but 46% from the field overall. Just like Huchimara, Okpala has the motor and competitiveness to excel and develop his game at the next level. But the biggest question will be whether he can find a consistent jump shot that will allow him to carve out a role with an NBA team. he also was unable to turn the Cardinal into a winner, so there are some concerns about his impact. He has the height to rebound around the rim, it is just about filling out his body, which will allow him to play more physical. Okpala has the athleticism, work ethic, and physical attributes to carve out a role with an NBA team and succeed.

I've resigned myself to Reddish. Can he play the 2?

NBA.com posted the consensus picks by the experts. These presumably would be possible Bulls picks...

No. 4 (Lakers): De'Andre Hunter
No. 5 (Cavaliers): Jarrett Culver
No. 6 (Suns): Darius Garland
No. 7 (Bulls): Coby White
No. 8 (Hawks): Cam Reddish
No. 9 (Wizards): Sekou Doumbouya
No. 10 (Hawks): Jaxson Hayes

Out of those I'd prefer Garland, Hunter, Culver or White (in that order). You can keep the others.

Perhaps I'm just being contrarian, but I still like him better than no shot RJ

Atlanta is finalizing a trade for the #4 pick. Awesome news for Bulls possibly getting White or Garland.

I’m pretty excited.

Not for the Bulls, but to see the top 4 picks get selected.

He has as much potential as anyone outside of Zion in the draft.

They’re taking Garland or White.

We just need to hope Cleveland doesn’t take Garland. I think there’s a decent chance the Bulls give up the 7th and a future protected 1st for #5 and get Garland.

We don’t have a PG. You need a PG to compete.
