(there's articles from last year where he says he knows this is why he hasn't gotten in)

He's afraid of his own inner desires.

He's done a lot to right his "wrong". Sports writers are so full of shit.

I must’ve missed where liking everyone is a condition to be in the HOF . Has nothing to do with his performance on the court.

Too grindy?

He wasn't much better than the other really good guys around the way as a kid. But high school came and I don't think that I ever saw him without a basketball. He worked his ass off.

This is the problem with the NBA's HoF - it's a mixture of legends and the merely really good. In a revised HoF with stricter standards, Hardaway is not even under consideration. MANY others wouldn't even be in, including Alonzo Mourning (wtf?) and Dennis Rodman.

Had he not had the Knee injuries he would have been a surefire Hall of Famer. His numbers his first 5 or 6 seasons were Hall of Fame worthy.

Knee injuries made him a different player. Couldn't beat guys off the dribble anymore. Couldn't do anything but launch 3's and long 2's after that. No longer an elite player anymore.
