Anybody catch the Netflix doc on the Malice?

It’s pretty good. All of the main participants are interviewed. I had no idea how angry Jermaine O'Neal was/is with Artest over the whole thing.

It went a little over the top in making O’Neal out to be a victim, but overall is worth a watch.

I did. You got to see that Artest's "craziness" was very selective and Stern was dead wrong. I didn't recall how bad things became for O'Neal.

O'Neal was the star of the show.

Really good doc. It is easy to forget how good O'Neal was back in that time.

I love Stephen Jackson. Dude was a warrior on and off the court. Crazy as fuck, but a warrior. I go to help my brother.

Amazing how popular opinion has shifted from "holy shit professional athletes shouldn't attack spectators" to "if you throw an empty cup at the vicinity of a player, he can kill you and it should be nice and legal"

If somebody was that upset that they wanted to throw a beer at Ron Artest, they should have just waited till the following day and did so at Circuit City.

My favorite part was when O’Neal claimed the cops told him he did absolutely nothing wrong, followed by the quick cut to him trying to blindside the guy on the court with a right hook.

Are you talking about the 2 fat asses in the jerseys? They went on to the court looking for trouble and they found it.

For a couple of days afterwards the Detroit media were claiming the Pacers beat up a couple of their ball boys...then they had to admit they were just 2 fat asses in Pistons jerseys that came from the stands looking for a fight.

Did they even talk to these 2 idiots in the doc? They've done interviews so they would have been easy to find.

Yep, that guy. And he was part of the doc. He and the cup thrower seemed pretty pleased with their roles in the whole thing.

He was definitely worthy of a cheap shot, but I don’t know that Jermaine has an airtight legal defense on the grounds that ‘fatty was asking for it.’

Is it me, or is Artest sounding more and more like Rodman?

Yeah he came off incredibly self absorbed and selfish. Just like Rodman used to be. It wasn't even his on court stuff either. His voice might have sounded like Rodman but the things he stated were similar to what Rodman used to say.

He seemed to understand he was selfish without reconciling why that’s a bad thing. The admission that his trade demand was cowardly was telling.

This was a good watch. I wish that guy who threw the first beer would have got his ass kicked. What a smug prick.

Yeah it was definitely Rodman like. He even had some mannerisms like Rodman in his interviews.

Ralph, you were spot on about Jackson. I'll take him on my team any day.

I didn't realize Reggie retired that same year. My opinion of Artest is different now.

It almost made me feel bad for Reggie for not getting a title. ALMOST.
