Guy looks like a talented player who will be a walking injury.

Yep. I’m thinking he goes the Chet route and gets a season ending injury in preseason.

If I’m an NBA GM, I find the doughiest Eastern European out there and draft him first.

Seems slow and weak to me in the highlights. Butbif that Gonzaga stick can get drafted early he'll be fine

Some woman doing the CBS Sports Minute this afternoon warned that “no player over 7’4” has played 1,000 games in the NBA.” That’s like 12 full seasons…I’m sure any team would take that.

I think you have to take the guy 1/1 but it seems like there’s a ton of obviously-gonna-happen downside there.

Sell the pick to the highest bidder. Pretty sure a franchise would give up seven straight first round unprotected picks for #1.

It's also 2023 and the medical shit they can do now should keep Wemby on the court more than prior tall freaks.

Hell, Steph Curry would have washed out of the league with his chronic ankle issue in the 80's/90s...possibly even early 2K's. around 2008 or so everyone started going to Germany getting fixed and coming back to MVP seasons.

17 win season, worst record in the NBA, no playoff win in 15 years and Pistons fans get rewarded with the....5th pick. shit was rigged. they are still punishing the Pistons for the Malice at the Palace

Wembanyama will be fine, San Antonio got the 1st pick.

Now if Portland had gotten the first overall....Victor might as well have stayed in the Euro-leagues. Cuz he'd for sure be a bust if the Trailblazers picked him 1st overall.

When does he demand a trade to another team? Is it tradition to wait 2 years?

It is pretty funny this whole thread thinks this kid will bust.

I'm pretty sure he is for real.

I raised the FF signal in a NBA thread but you ran away. How's your Zion 2023 MVP prediction going? You made fun of me for saying he's more KFC than MVP 1-2 years ago.

He's absolutely for real. I've watched a bunch of his games.

He's skinny, no doubt but he's 19. And he hardly plays. They keep his minutes to a minimum. Not sure if that is an agreement but I think it probably is.

This past year was the first he really was the focus.

Am I hallucinating, or did I hear somebody say that the kid isn't allowed to lift weights because his "body type" wouldn't respond well this kind of activity?

This guy's body will be broken down by age 25.

Are we lying about eachother's words now? Or do you want to quote me saying Zion will win MVP in 2023? I'll await your apology here.

You really think I'm ducking NBA threads at the moment when my guy Jokic is winning me all sorts of years long debates here?

Nope. His highlights are kind of unreal though. He looks fluid, which is shocking.
