Always wise to make a judgement after 1 summer league game.

He's getting the reverse LeBron treatment. Fans want him to be great.

What are the odds he breaks in half?

I think he holds up. He has some coordination. He'll have to worry about his feet eventually.

He might be like a Durant but with actual will to win

Better game 2 for the french wunderkind, although initially he picked up where he left off in the first game (i.e., sucking) and then Portland eased up on him on D and he cooked a bit.

Definitely could see a Dillon Brooks or Morris brother going full-body roll into Victor-Victor's legs chasing a loose ball and knocking him out for a season.

You put a combination of a quick hands tall guard (a Ball brother)/or stout SF defensive player (PJ Tucker types) oh him when Wemby's doing the perimeter bs. Caruso or Jimmy Butler would rack up double-digit steals against Wemby, dude's terribly loose with the ball. Once Wembanyama's inside 10 feet I don't think anyone's stopping dude, other than bodying him to the floor and sending him to the line over and over--he can literally reach out anywhere inside that range and drop the rock through the hoop.

Wemby, the French Wunderkind, looks like he's playing nerf basketball around the rim. Dunks it on his tippy toes.

Nerf is probably how one can describe his ligaments and lower body bones.

the inside stuff is automatic if Wemby's willing to go there. He seems to wanna be more of a perimeter player, despite shooting anywhere from 26 to 29 percent from 3 during his Euroleague career. Probably smart for the Spurs to let him work on his outside game first couple seasons; until his body fills out some and he can better handle banging against NBA bodies inside.

They're all pansies now anyway so unless the opponent is a reincarnated version of Udonis Haslem then he's fine trying to go against 7 footers who are better at crossovers than post defense.

It will be interesting if EuroNBA continues. Who's thinking outside the cookie cutter box? Miami for sure. Are the Knicks?
