Great timing, as 2 days after the NY Liberty win the WNBA title, the NBA regular season kicks off.

Just saw a graphic on ESPN stating the 76ers are seeking their first Eastern Conference Finals since 2000-2001. Thought it had to be a typo, but it’s true.

that's what happens when you use AI to generate the design template for the statue. Guardrails built-in to those AI tools to avoid generating anything that looks like a famous person's image or likeness.

Is the process or The Process still going on? Feels like it started around 2009? Lengthy process.

Rough start to the season, guys are playing Levine ball where you play very little defense and hoist up random 3's for no apparent reason.

Celtics in a home back-to-back.

They outlasted the Bucks last night, but lost to the Grizzlies tonight.

Dr Alex hits to all fields

Put a cap on each team on how many shots per half receive 3 points. A low cap, thanks.

Correct. They shot a lower percentage even without a 3 pt line.

The dipsy doo was a killer though.

Warriors lost at memphis by over 50 last nite. 138-82 or some shit.

Curry only 2 pts., 0-7 from the fuckin field
D. green - 0 pts., 0 reb, 0 assists

First time ever that both Green and Curry didn't make a fuckin basket.

Seems to be quite a bit of concern about the NBA ratings, all kinds of speculation about why people are not paying attention to the NBA.

Games do look an awful lot like Sunday rec league with a bunch of old guys hoisting 3s and bitching about getting fouled all the time.

You see some odd things for sure, the guy sticking his leg out and kicking a defender when he shoots a 3 and then having a foul called on the defensive guy is one of the most embarrassing officiating fails you will see in any sports league.

It would be quite interesting if you could go back in a time machine and teleport a mid 80's Celtics team in and have them take on a current NBA team, the current dudes would run circles around the 80's era guys, but the 80's dudes would kill them in the paint and Bird would feast from the 3 point line against the lax D the current guys would play. If you allowed hand checking the modern dudes would not get too many shots off, they would of course try to run, but the old Celts would slow it down and force them to play D against lethal half court sets.

I think the cure for all sports is to manage ticket prices. It’s a small piece of the pie but the product is literally inaccessible for a lot of people.

There are Bulls fans who can’t watch their team, can’t afford the home games, etc. They have no interaction with the product or players outside of short Twitter clips.
