I think Lakers keep Kobe and win 45-50 games this year. Luke Walton can ball, and if Kobe is happier by all star break, maybe Mitch Kupchak stops fucking up for the 4th year in a row and actually brings someone in who can help Kobe consistently. One thing that never gets mentioned... Kobe is one of the best passers in the NBA. Better than all but a handful of PG's in the league. I know its been less than 2 games, but Phoenix doesnt look as good as they have in years past. Im wondering if they are really gonna be there in the final four in June. |

This reminds me of their game 7 from a few years ago...except if the teams switched jerseys. |

I wouldn't worry much about the Suns, they will be fine. I think a lot of teams enter the season not as ready to play as they probably should. The Lakers are going to win 40 games for sure just because they have Kobe. They need to get Odom back, and then they can actually play a decent lineup with him, Kobe, Fisher, Walton and a big man....I'm thinking, assuming they stay healthy, about 44-46 wins, probably a 6th-7th seed. |

I still cannot comprehend Mitch;s logic in not trading Bynum. He's never going to be all star in my opinion, and every year they refuse to give him him up in potential deals for all stars. If he is still on the team in 2 years with Kobe there is no way Kobe doesnt opt out. |

I understand only because he's so young, and raw...but this is a make or break season. He needs to make a significant step. I do find it surprising that they didn't use him (and it appears that they could have) to get Jermaine O'Neal. I'm not a big O'Neal fan (he's constantly missing every other game with some minor injury, but very good when he's playing), but he would fit well with Kobe. |
